Who Thinks Rampage won last night
I wanted to see what everybody thinks I just watched the fight again and It was close but I got Rampage 48-47. like this
1. 10-9 J 2 10-9 G 3. 10-9 J 4. 10-9 J 5. 10-9 G
The actual judges scored it
Adalaide Byrd: 10-9 G, 10-8 G, 10-9 G, 9-10 J, 9-10 J (Total: 48-46 G)
Nelson Hamilton: 9-10 J, 10-8 G, 10-9 G, 9-10 J, 10-9 G (Total: 48-46 G)
Roy Silbert: 10-9 G, 10-9 G, 10-9 G, 9-10 J, 10-9 G (Total: 49-46 G)
Now the second round is a 10-9 because he did not do much damage. Like Rampage said he was resting his leg Forrest went for submission attempts but you dont get points for almost having it Rampage was never in real danger.
But seriously the first and the third to Griffin come on In the first Griffin hardly connected and got rocked and taken down.
The third was all Rampage. He took Griffin down had him down for half the round. Yeah Griffin had a triangle ATTEMPT witch Rampage shutdown witch should count as another takedown.
I think Rampage had more affective striking.Griffins leg kicks are nothing it only effected the second round. Should leg kicks win a fight I dont think so.
I wouldnt mind Griffin being the champ if he earned it Rampage earned the belt by knocking Chuck the hell out What did Griffin do leg kick Rampage. WOW!

You have to give Griffin round 2 with a 10-8 score, so at best it was a draw for Page.
I can see how Griffin could've edged out a victory on the scorecards, but not like 49-46 as some judge(s?) scored it.
Griffin looked better overall, but it wasn't a dominating victory or really even that convincing.

I saw the fight like you did:
1. 10-9 J 2 10-9 G 3. 10-9 J 4. 10-9 J 5. 10-9 G
I don't know how the judges gave Round 1 to Forrest. Also I really don't think Round 2 was a 10-8, a 10-8 IMO is when you almost finish the guy...and he wasn't even hurting Rampage except for the kick.
I thought you had to beat the champ decisively to take the belt?
If that would have not been one of TUF guys I think Rampage would still have the belt.

Rampage never touched Forrest in the 2nd round... that alone makes it a 10-8 round.
Forrest pressed the action and set the pace for the 3rd round (aka aggression and octagon control) and was able to score with leg kicks and pepperd with good shots. Yes Rampage got in some good shots but none of them hurt Forest. If Quinton hurt him I'd sway the other way.
1st 10-9 - Jackson
2nd 10-8 - Griffin
3rd 10-9 - Griffin
4th 10-9 - Jackson
5th 10-9 - Griffin

Yes Forrest layed and prayed on Rampage in round 2...did he do any damage on the ground? How is that a 10-8 round?
3 was close, Forrest peppered...Rampage slugged and contacted. I give it to Page based on ferocity and damage.
Can anyone honestly say that Forrest decisively beat the champ? I can't. Instead I got the feeling that Rampage had to decisively beat the TUF star.

If you don't touch your opponent during an ENTIRE round I give you a 10-8... standard rule of mine... sorry.
3 was close but I'm not gonna say Rampage did better than Forrest. Forrest stalked and came in on Rampage durring the entire round. Set the pace and fought his fight. Rampage hit with "ferocity" yes but he never hurt Forrest. Thus due to the set scoring rules :effective striking -push during the round IMO-, Grappling -none during the round-, Aggression -all Forrest by pushing the action-, and Octagon Control -again all Forrest by setting the pace and dictating the direction of the round- I give the round to Forrest.

How do you give Forrest the third serriously Rampage held him down half the round and pretty much slamed him it wasnt beautiful but pretty much another takedown. if people give the 2nd round a 10-8 then it should be a draw.

I cant believe some judges gave Griffin the first round. Griffin put more pressure but Rampage knocked Forrest down! That gives him the round, unless Forrest did something else extraordinary, which he didn't. Griffin does NOT get 10-8 in round 2 because all he did was control Rampage with minimal damage. Rampage won 3 and 4 because, simply put, he is the champ. Ties always go to the champ, as challengers need to TAKE the belt away from the champ. I would give the slight edge on 5th to Forest. Its another bullshit decision in my book. This is bigger because this was a championship fight.
