Biased commentating? Rogan Goldie awful..

I think the bias was most noticeable during the Chuck VS Wanderlei fight. It didn't matter what kind of shots Wanderlei was landing in that fight, Rogan was ALL on Chuckys nuts, almost the entire time. It was absurd.

EDIT: oh i see what you meant. Bias is bias. it doesn't matter whether it's because you feel it or you're doing it 'for the company'.

Yeah, It pissed me off bad during that fight and I'm a Rogan fan, but not everyones perfect I guess. He's usually spot on on a good portion of fights.

I think Rogan's great. he does a great job of pointing out what is happening, what to watch for etc.

He's probably the best MMA commentator I could think of. he doesn't start telling stories about his own experience, or rambling off about other things like most of them do. he sticks to the fight. But he's clearly biased. But there are times he's way over biased and doesn't give enough credit to the opponent. Wandy/Liddel, Forrest/Rampage are similar that way.

But it's nothing to get mad about to me. I just try to ignore it.

So in your view there are absolutely no professional commentators in broadcasting? They are all biased in one way or another?

I personally believe that there is no such thing as unbiased, especially in commentating, but that doesn't make someone unprofessional though. Joe drops the ball very rarely when he's commentating.

But one thing thats clear though, is that even on Joes worst commenting day is better than Bill Goldberg any day of the week.

Rogan is the color guy so if he says he thinks someone is winning then its cool... if the play by play guys does it then its something to raise an eye at.

I thought Forrest was winning the 1st round until he got knocked down too.

I have no problem with the commentary for this fight. I mean as compared to the stuff they've done in the past anyway.
