Betting odds have as much to do with money coming in as it does with talent. Because as more people bet more money on Lesnar he becomes more of a favorite (to drive people to put money on Herring)

Not correct if you are talking real money and not some sort of play money/points site.

With real money on a moneyline play, you've gotta factor in the spread for the book. No sportsbook/bookie is gonna give you the same odds on the favorite and underdog... they survive on the spread/vig/juice!

On a high line such as this -310 favorite for Lesnar, you are looking at probably a 60 cent spread for the underdog, which means Herring would be +250... or $250 on your $100 wager. A couple sites I frequent have the odds set at -280/+220 and -275/+215.

I don't mean be overly picky, but I'm not sure how many of you would like Herring at just better than a 2 to 1 dog rather than over 3 to 1.

Not only was he favored, but Fedor was suppose to be lunch meat for Herring. In fact, Herring was in line to get a title shot if he beat Fedor. Same with Schlitt, back in the day.

Damn crazy Russians keep screwing up everyone's plans!

I don't get why "him being a monster" would make him a favourite. Herring is obviously the more experienced fighter, and sure Brock was winning his last fight into Mir caught his foot, but he still lost and made mistakes. He still has a lot to learn, IMO.

Size shouldn't matter anyways... I believe Royce Gracie proved that back in the day.

That was "Back in the Day" though.

And If we were talking about Nog or Mir or even Jeff Monson or someone with a world class BJJ game it would be totally different, but this is Heath Herring, not known so much for his Technicality. Herring comes to Bang, and that won't be such a good idea with Brock IMO.

WWE guy?

That's a lame excuse for saying, "I'm a hater".

I'm not surprised by this. Now I'm not saying Lesnar should be a big favorite but Hearing's wrestling especially his defensive wrestling sucks. Not going to be surprised one bit if Lesnar takes him and and holds him there the entire fight.

Herring poses little danger off of his back IMO, and from what I saw from Brock against Mir, he's not just going to ride the fight out from Guard.

I seriously think that Lesnar has the potential to be champ if he dedicates himself and if he works his Boxing and BJJ.

The guy is just a freak of nature.

And if it makes any difference, I'd want to fight Kimbo 10 times before I'd fight Lesnar once.
