Wandy Vs. Rampage III |

Wandy Vs. Rampage III
Okay everyone keeps saying that this should be the next fight for Wandy, and IMO that is a very irrational fight to put on. It seems to me that there are tons of people who believe this fight is justified and I would really like to know their reasoning now that Rampage doesn't have the belt.
I have seen two fights with Wand kicking the Crap out of Rampage just like I have seen two fights of Fedor Kicking the Crap out of Nog. When you beat someones ass like that twice there is only One reason for a third fight and that is for the belt.
To me anybody justifying a fight between Jackson and Wandy are just hoping Rampage will win. IMO Wand should fight other guys like Chuck again because at least that makes some sence because it was a close fight. Or maybe Henderson for a RUBBER match. Which with Rampage it wouldn't be.
With that said what is next for Jackson... Soko?? Thiago?? Machida?? Verra??

I have to agree. A Wand v Rampage 3 just doesn't make sense unless it is for a belt. Especially after the first two brutal beatdowns.
Rampage vs Soko or a rubber match with Hendo would be sweet!

I would like to see Wand Machida also I think Wand is one of the only guys that will Kill Machida.
Reason Being Wand can take a hit and is great on the ground. We all Know Machida has weak hands. With that being said I just see wand going in there and tearing Machida apart. |

For me Rampage vs. Wandy is the single most exciting match-up in the whole division. The amazing thing about that is that we've already seen them go at it twice before and it's still not enough. Title or not their rivalry goes back farther and more important than any belt and I've love to see it happen one more time.

i look at fights from a more business point of view. i think Rampage vs Wandy would bring in the more $$$ at this point. obviously it doesn't make sense, since Wandy defeated Rampage in an incredible fashion twice.

Great minds think alike...I think its stupid, but I think it will probably happen, even though it's wrong...just like they gave Jackson a PRIDE belt that he somehow won in a cage...that shit made me want to puke. Does Forrest get it now? He should, it was under the same rules that Hendo fought and the fight wasn't as close.
I'd rather see Chuck/Wandi and Hendo/Rampage rematches before I see either of the faux-rubber threepeat matches.

I think a rematch with Shogun would be a good fight at this point. Both of them are coming off losses to Forrest Griffin and as I already mentioned it would be a rematch, so there is a pretty good story behind the fight. They could say Shogun destroyed Rampage, and was then submitted by Forrest while Rampage took Forrest to a decision. You could have Rogan hype the fight as "Rampage got beat by Shogun but has improved greatly since their first fight."
If that doesn't happen, I would also like to see an immediate rematch with Forrest. It has happened before, and I think it would be reasonable. Like I said in a previous thread, I'm not taking anything away from Forrest's win, but that leg injury in the second played a big role in the fight. It's not that I'm saying that's why Rampage lost, but it would be interesting to see how Rampage would do on 2 good wheels.

I agree it would be irrational to put that fight together right now. Not to mention they are my two favorite fighters and i dont want to see them fight again right now. There are better matchups for them. What about Rampage-Shogun rematch if the timing is right?
