i could see chuck getting the shot with a win over rashad.. i think machida deserves it by not losing but it wouldnt be a smart move for the ufc to have him and forrest fight unless they have another championship match on the ppv.. i see chuck getting the shot but i believe lyoto deserves it even if people think he hasnt done anything to deserve it. i would agree with them just bc i dislike machida very much. and if evens pulls off the upset he should get the shot i see it going to chuck/rashad winner and have wandy rampage 3 just bc i would love to see that

I don't see how he'll be the underdog...he just beat Shogun and Rampage. He may have lost to Jardine...but so did Chuck.

Winner of Chuck/Rashad is the first go and then Lyoto gets the winner with Rampage getting the winner of that fight.

I think either a rematch or a fight with Machida makes sense.

I think it has to be a rematch. Quinton lost a very close decision, and this is the man that unified the titles. They should show a little respect and give him an immidiate re-match. It was'nt like he got ko'd or submitted either.

Assuming that Chuck finishes Evans, Chuck gets the first crack at Griffin.

machida has beaten stephan bonnar and Rich franklin and BJ Penn and there all still in the UFC . why does chuck get to leap frog over machida and get the next shot?, whos chuck beat recently that machida cant beat. its either gonna be machida VS griffin for the belt or and page vs griffin rematch. like i said before, if chuck gets the next crack at the belt , it will show how favoritist the ufc is for chuck or chucks doin some good cock suckin in the back. as far as im concerned rashad is farther ahead in title contention than chuck is. i hope rashad tko's chuck . although i like chuck its getting boring seeing him in the spotlight all the damn time even though MMA is starting to pass chuck by. how much longer can chuck last in this stacked LHW dvision by just being a counter puncher?

I have no idea why Chuck or Wand is even mentioned there. Does everyone realize that Wand lost 3 in a row and then only won one fight. He's still a few fights away from a title shot.
Chuck has also won one fight and if he beats Rashad, he still needs another solid victory before getting a title shot.
Currently as we speak, Machida is more deserving than anyone mentioned. Machida has been literally untouchable his whole career and has made all his opponents look like fools. However, if Rashad beats Chuck convincingly... I would say that I would put him ahead of Machida due to a victory over a higher calibre opponent than any of Machida's and better marketability. TUF1 winner and LHW champion vs undefeated TUF2 winner for the LHW title? Dana would love to do that.
However that is still IF Rashad wins this fight. I could see Chuck shooting in on Rashad because Rashad wont expect it.

Yeah but do you really see Chuck Liddell vs Forrest Griffin, and Griffins the fave? or Wandy? The only guy I think Forrest gets enough respect to be the favourite against, would be Machida, but thats only because he gets even less respect than Forrest.
In the UFC, Chuck would be the favourite against GOD

Machida: He needs to finish a fight before he gets a shot IMO. Sure he finished Soko, but thats not enough to warrant him anything. Plus Ortiz is not really a threat anymore. A good win over a quality opponent and then he will be ready.
Chuck: If he beats Rashad he has a case for a crack at Forest. He lost to Jardine but I dont really think it set him back.
Rashad: If he beats Chuck he will hands down be a contender.
Silva: Hell no! I like him but I'm not sold over his Jardine win. Jardine was asking for it the way he way he fought him. Silva held his own against Chuck and two more wins then he will be in the title picture.
Jackson: He got beat however you want to slice it. I personally thought he lost the 1st round ( despite the Knockdown ) as well as the 2nd and 5th. However should he beat a good, not neccasarily top 10 LHW, he will be right back in the hunt.
So I guess the Rashad/Chuck winner.

As much as I hate it, Lyoto makes the most sence.......
But I'd like to see Wandy fight Lyoto for #1 Contender.
