Ok, yea overall Forrest did strike more then Rampage and he did also have more sub attempts, but hey lets take out the second round of that fight and see what happens.
Strikes:
Rampage - 73
Griffin - 64
Sub attempts:
Rampage - 0
Forrest - 1
Takedowns:
Rampage - 1
Forrest - 0
The second round inflated the stats for Griffin. Yea he landed 40 more strikes then Rampage, but in the second round it was 49-0. You take away the second round and it looks like a much different fight.
Bascially I agree with FightMetric, the fight was a draw. I have Rampage winning the 1st, 3rd, and 4th round and Griffin winning the second (10-8) and the 5th. Which would make my score 47-47.

Jackson gets to much credit for the knock down and the cut. When Forrest imo doesn't get enough credit for what he did.

This is another great illustration that fightmetric is garbage.

Agreed 100%. Rampage won the first, third, and fourth rounds. Round 2 was a 10-8 for Griffin and he squeaked out round 5. That's a draw.

True Forrest landed more but not a lot of power on them. They were "scoring" shots. Rampage had alot on his and he rocked Forrest with every shot. That counts alot in people's eyes.

Forrest did everything right. i cant c how someone would think rampage won that fight.. he dropped Forrest and cut him but Forrest gets cut every time u expect that lol but Forrest controlled the ground and the stand up by keeping rampage away with leg kicks and every time rampage got a good one on Forrest Forrest would give one back.. maybe not as powerful but Forrest did what he was supposed to do in that fight
Did anyone else gain some respect for Rampage by the class he showed after the fight?

I did. He and Ibarra talked a lot of trash before the fight and I thought Rampage was 100% class after it, both in hugging and talking to Forrest and what he said to Joe Rogan.
All that said, I'm holding Ibarra to his disrespectful words that he'll retire now that Forrest beat Rampage....

So i don't see how they scored that for Rampage.
I mean call me crazy but if Forrest threw more then Rampage and landed more then rampage wouldn't that make him the more active one.

I think the thing is that fightmetric splits types of strikes into high percentage (uppercuts, hooks, etc - typical finishing strikes) and into low percentage (leg kicks, jabs etc).
Rampage scored more HiPer strikes even though Forrest landed more total strikes. So presumably fightmetric weighs those strikes higher in value than the LoPer strikes.

well someone had indicated to me that Rampage had definitely won the fight because he landed atleast 60 percent of his strikes cleanly without knocking Forrest out. Which of course in the fight game is absurd when you have to kind of power Rampage has.
