Tyson Griffin: 1 Simple Question
OK, yet again we have a Tyson Griffin Decision. Lackluster as usual, hell I'm going to say boring...Straight up boring. He has to know that he is the most boring fighter in existance next to Kalib Starnes, who is probably well on his way to management at dairy queen right now. So, back to Tyson. My question is.
Do you think Tyson Griffin has what it takes to be at the top of the lightweight division, or is he just another person you throw in there to fill the undercard?
Honestly, until I see something that constitutes him Winning a fight, and not the judges winning it for him, I go with the latter. I mean, some of his fights he gets on the cusp of a victory and then for some reason or another....it up and vanishes like a fart in the wind.
In 6 fights in the UFC his first was a win via RNC against a guy who couldnt defend a rear naked choke from me. The rest of his fights have all gone the distance. His body build makes you think that he has the power to finish people, not to mention he is a product of Extreme Couture...So why is he a lame duck?

Are you F'ing kidding me? You sound like a typical UFC fanboy. Just because a fight goes to a decision doesn't the fight was boring. Tyson Griffin's fight against Edgars, Guida and Aurelio were all an exciting fight. He contends for fight of the night on almost all of his fights.

boring? you really dont see all aspects of MMA.
you're watching MMA in a one dimensional mindset. once you understand how the ground game works, then you'll really enjoy this sport.

Tyson has some of the funnest fights to watch yea I would like him to finish but he is a LW with not very strong hands. I would like to see Machida to stop some one too though.

I wish you'd spend more time answering the question than attempting to question my viewpoint of MMA.
Do you think Tyson Griffin has what it takes to be at the top of the lightweight division, or is he just another person you throw in there to fill the undercard?

Machida is a guy that just lands in his own catagory. He wins and half the MMA community says he runs away, and half of them say he is a Genious. I personally think he's a Genious. Machida is a fighter who is there to win, he doesn't care about how he looks in the public eye as much as he cares about winning. The true fight fans see this and revere him for it, the ones who dont jeer and boo.
Speaking of booing, how is Koscheck still getting boo'd?? Can anyone explain that to me? Did any of you boo at the TV, cuz I thought he did a helluva job.

What do you mean does he have what it takes to make it to the top of the lightweight division, he is there now. In the UFC he is top. Top 4. I mean i think he could beat Huerta and Kenny and i am a bigger fan of Huerta then Tyson.
the only some what boring fight i have seen of Tyson's was his fight with that guy Joe Daddy choked out tonight. I just can't spell his name.
He just needs to focus on his striking and bjj. He is young and will get better.

He just turned 24
Tyson has been fighting for about 3 1/2 years. Sure to some that might be a long time, but to me it is not.
I just believe he needs to focus on improving his striking and bjj, also needs to work on getting a little more power.
Over time i think he will keep improving.
As long as he puts on exciting fights i don't care if he finishes them.
