What'd you guys think? Patrick Cote, in particular. Title worthy win? We know how the UFC's handled supposed #1 contender title fights in the past. Was this win for Patrick Cote title worthy? I always figured Okami was going to be the first guy to get a crack at Silva when he dropped back down to middle weight but apperantly not? Cote shit out of luck?
And Ricardo Almeida? Man, I thought he was going to take this. What's next for the Big Dog? I wouldn't mind in the least seeing him fight Marquardt. Or Jeremy Horn, for that matter. Hell, even Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, or anyone else. Hope this doesn't discourage him.
I had Almeida by a round. Honestly, I don't think they are going to give Cote an immediate Title shot. I think they just hyped the fight by saying that on the commercials. Have Cote fight Okami if he wants a shot cuz I think Okami is pretty much the only real deserving person right now. And past Okami, Hendo. Cote/Franklin Cote/Okami or Cote/Hendo those could be a #1 contender match now if they really want Patrick Cote as a contender.

I had it a draw and i hate doing that but neither really did anything to get a win over the other.
Now was i happy with the out come, yes very because i am a Cote fan.
Cote proved he will be eaten alive by Anderson.
Almeida imo proved if he can't take it down, he doesn't stand a good chance of winning.
and why does everyone keep saying title shot, i never heard that. All i heard was move up the ranks
On the commercial for the Event, the announcer said "Battle for a Title shot" or something to that effect...

I thought it was a bullshit decision (according to UFC judging).. I socred it 28 to 27 Almedia... I had him winning the first and third rounds.
I did as well. I lost a sig bet over bad judging, the first one I've ever lost.

I think either of them would get eaten alive by Anderson, Henderson and/or Franklin.
I think the only title I'd say that fight decided was biggest disappointment. I know there is a lot riding on every win, but expected more from both fighters; two guys I was sure would be exciting fought very cautiously.
I'm probably just biased.
