You have my respect man! I had a feeling in the back of my mind you could pull it off but I really didn't think it would happen, I know a few of you saw how I would mock Forrest mainly because I dislike his lack of power and technicality .. but somehow he really put it together this fight.. and I give you props my man.
With that said wtf was up with rampage this fight! This just wasn't the same Rampage we saw when he fought Henderson or Chuck. He didn't even use the "my knee hurts" excuse.. he just admitted "I got my ass whooped". I can't help but wonder if the UFC rigged this fight, didn't Pride allegedly offer Quinton more money to lose when he fought Sakuraba? Wouldn't the UFC want to sell a Chuck/Forrest card over a Chuck/Rampage III one anyways? This way they can give us Rampage/Wanderlei III and possibly have Chuck with the belt again. Just a thought, I dunno.

Fixed...thats lame, Forrest beat Rampage up and won the fight. He beat Shogun and Rampage...would love to see peoples LHW ranking after this. I do agree they should give us Wandy and Page, but will Wandy fight Forrest? Anyone else think that Xtreme Couture has awesome gameplans?

forrest did alright but.. wtf was up with rampage, he looked like a wet noodle. he was barely attacking and he looked sluggish as hell. but anyways props to forrest he has 2 huge wins in a row now. i wonder where hes gonna be in the rankings.

I know, I know, we all want to see Machida get his shot but come on, let's be honest. As they announced that decision we were all thinking that this is Chuck's shot to get his belt back. Thoughts?

Ahh no excuses.. I dont agree with the decision but it was close.. and Rampage let it get too close, didnt pull the trigger nearly enough and was too backed off.. his own damn fault.. am I real confident with the Forrest win and Rampage loss? No.. not convinced that it would go the same way again.. but its all Rampage's fault that he lost.. he didnt fight the fight he should have, and Forrest whooped his ass for it.. when will people stop taking him lightly? hes too big, too much of a reach to just say ah.. hes a walkover.

Dana, won't give Machida a shot yet. He wants his tv show poster boy to hold the belt for a while. When Lyoto gets the chance, he will be champ.

FOR SURE Forrest Griffin will be #1 because he has his two most recent wins against the #2 and the #1 ranked fighters. I cant see it being done any other way.
I personally don't see forrest being champion for long. Machida looks scary good and Forrest should start training now for that tough battle.
After the fight I was trying to figure out....Whats next in the LHW division for the UFC???
Rampage vs Wand III
Forrest vs Machida
Winner of Chuck vs Rashad getting a title shot after Forrest/Machida
 there are many possibilities and i'm sure more people will make sense that what I have come up with....

#1 in mine. After beating two top-5 LHW's (and incidentally two fighters each of whom a LOT of fans considered the best 205er in the world), including a 25-minute war to win the only major-org 205 title in the world, how could he not be?
