If he can make LW, he should fight there. But it seems like he is taking lytle lightly,he hasn't even watched tape of him. He's a pretty dangerous oponent IMO and think he might take it.

I agree, as much as I dislike Koscheck, he doesn't deserve the kind of thrashing he'd get from Penn.

I don't know if he can drop to 155, but he walks around at 175 lbs... Even college he never cut weight; just basically wrestled at what naturally weighed.

I don't buy that Kos has no idea of what kind of fighter Lytle is. Unless he's a moron, he's gonna have Lytle on his back the whole fight. Otherwise he'll be swallowing his teeth.
As far as a Penn-Kos fight goes...I think Josh is a tough bastard and could give anyone a good fight. But I agree that at 155 I would question his effectiveness.

Trust me, Koscheck is a pretty average WW, he is waaaaaaaay smalled than Fitch and GSP, I think if Joe "Daddy" Stevenson makes LW than Kos can too.

I will never understand how Koscheck made it in the top 5 of UFC WW. The guys is LnP all the way, with exception of maybe one fight. The guy has a long way to go, yet UFC somehow made him a top 5 guy.
In any case, why thehell should Koscheck go down to 155 unless he plans to stay there? He just wants to be part of a main event. It would be an absolutely a meaningless fight and it would only serve to make Koscheck make name for himself even if he loses. It is utterly retarded this is even being talked about. I am getting annoyed by all these fighters calling people out so they could get a high profile match ups. This is happening just way too often these days.

I don't see why. If he kesps doing his thing and wins his matches he'll run into BJ at 170. Dropping down to fight a guy who plans on moving up to your natural weight class anyway makes no sense.

You are acting like Kos needs to be in a high profile match or is just trying to make a name for himself. Did you forget he has already been in 2 high profile matches and co-main events, Sanchez and GSP.
He is top 5 because he dominated Sanchez (when Sanchez was ranked 3rd @ WW). He also dominated every fighter he has faced with the expection of GSP and he is the only guy in the last few years outside of Penn and Serra that have actually give GSP a fight. After he beats on Lytle tonight he will probably be in line for a rematch with Sanchez or a fight with Alves for the number 1 contender against Penn or GSP or Fitch.

I don't like Koscheck, but I'd say he already gave GSP a fight...I had him winning the first round. GSP won decisively...but anyone who says Georges "dominated" or "thrashed" or "throttled" Kos is revising history. Kos came in expecting to stand, GSP surprised the shit out of him by a) not wanting to stand and b) showing excellent grappling. Georges had an ambitious and daring game plan to beat Kos, and combined with his skill set, he was very successful. I'm very interested to see them fight again.
People detracting from Kos's fight with McLovin are underestimating how much Hazlett has improved. I'd actually rather have Lytle beat him tonight, but I think Chris is going to have his hands full and then some.
That being said, I would be AMAZED if Kos can make a successful cut to 155 without losing mass. He would be an enormous LW, comparable to Fitch at WW. I don't think it would be enough to beat Penn, but I think he'd be a force at the lighter weight. Koscheck vs. Sherk at 155 would be interesting.
