Is this April fools in July cause Arlovski is fucking crazy.. even with 4oz gloves he's not a top power puncher in his division.
Also I wouldn't say he has a glass jaw but a very suspect chin. I am sure Arlovski's promoter will throw him some tomato cans, but when he faces anyone like Riggs or James Toney he's gonna get crushed.
Arlovski stay with MMA!!!! Fuck boxing you don't see Nadal going to badminton because he can't beat Federer on grass or concrete.

hes going to have to completely train differently for boxing. These are two different sports. His stance will probably have to be all different as well as other things

WOW... feeling like alot of AA hate in here.
Anyone in here think that maybe he's setting up a boxing match to test himself?
Boxers, wrestlers, and BJJ guy make the jump to MMA all the time. What is the problem with someone who trains in many disciplines wanted to push/challenge himself against guys who strictly train boxing?
And to the poster who said that this will not help his MMA game: You're fucking nuts. To say a training camp devoted entirely to boxing will not help a Top 5 HW is just retarded. The stance will be different, no shit. How about hand-speed, combinations, punching power? I think i've heard those aspects off MMA discussed on these boards once or twice.

I just do not think he could make any kind of spalsh in boxing. Yes he may get a few wins against less than stellar opponents, but I do not see this going anywhere.

This will help his standup. He will learn how to move and defend punches better and will become quicker on his feet.

The problem being MMA stand-up is different than Boxing stand-up.
Differences being different size gloves and boxing is in the ring different angles. Look at Cro Cop could never really figure to fight in the cage. Boxing is all about foot work and head movement an counter punching more than anything else.
