BJ Penn To Fight The Winner Of GSP vs. Jon Fitch
Quote:
DreamFighters.com has learned that BJ is set to take on the winner of GSP vs. Fitch, at UFC 87. Penn recently told Fighters Club TV that he is set to move up to 170 to face the winner of UFC 87's Georges St. Pierre vs. Jon Fitch contest.
It is reported that the fight, will take place at the UFC's annual New Year's Eve card this December 27th in Las Vegas, rumored to be a start studded card, as Wanderlei Silva has made it public he will be fighting on that card.
Penn also plans to retain his lightweight title and will likely face the winner of Kenny Florian vs. Roger Huerta, which also takes place at UFC 87, at a later date.
Thanks to Jason Perkins, at www.FightLine.comfor the news release.

Then Penn should put on some beef and fight the winner of Mir, Nog, that would truly test his gangster.

I guess we all knew this was coming. I wonder what BJ wants more.....to fight for the title, or to fight GSP again.

As much as I want to see GSP vs BJ 2, I want BJ to stay at lightweight, because this is the first time the UFC has world class fighters as champions in all the divisions, and I want it to remain that way.

From what I read it looks like he'll retain the belt... looks like a super card in the making...

BJ has stated many times that he wants to be considered the best ever. If he holds 2 UFC belts at the same time, that would be hard to argue (if it weren't for that Russian guy.)

I love BJ but he does not deserve to fight for the WW title. He lost his last two fights at WW. I know one was by split decision and the other he was winning before having an injury but the fact is they are still losses. There is no reason why he should jump over everyone else before getting that shot.
He should have atleast one fight with a top contendor before fighting for that title. That top contendor is clearly Thiago Alves.
