Wouldnt it be hilarious if he ended up fighting anderson at 205 on his way up to the title. I know it wont happen because even if they were on the same path to the title, Joe Silva wouldnt make that match up, but it would be funny non-the-less
If this is true, Hamill is a pretty good test to see if Franklin can hang at 205

Hmm, I'd heard Hamill rumored for 88 (and have him on the rumor thread) but I hadn't heard Hamill-Franklin.
I agree, Hamill is a tough test for Franklin on account of his wrestling. Hamill will be one of, if not the, best wrestlers Franklin ever faced, and he'll be, along with Okami, one of the strongest guys he ever fought.
Rich outfought Okami and I think he'll outfight Hamill. Rich by unanimous decision if Hamill fights smart, which is to say he takes Rich down as often as he can. If Hamill stands with Rich, Rich via TKO.

Not necessarily Franklin moving up to LHW loses his punching power advantage he had at MW. Hamil's striking is improving and can out wrestler Franklin.
This is a hard fight for Franklin to win, I see Hamil winning.

I can also see Hamill pulling off the upset. His wrestling is ten times better than Franklins and his stand up is much improved (see his last fight) and he is stronger.
That is why Im not quite sure if I believe this. This isnt a good fight for Franklin and I dont know why the UFC would put one of their stars in a high risk - low benefit situation.

It'll be a great challenge for Rich if Hamill works for the takedown. If he chooses to stand and strike with Rich like he did with Bisping, he is going to get (T)knocked the fuck out.

I call bullshit on this I just read an interveiw where Rich said he feels like since hes been fighting at MW for so long his body isnt the same as it used to be and hes not big enough to fight at LHW anymore. I think its pretty stupid for him to leave MW when Anderson is about to go to LHW as well considering when Anderson does leave Rich is most likely gonna get the shot at the Vacant belt. I think hes gonna end up fight Marquart or he will end up finally fightin Kampmann either way Imo his next fights gonna be at 185
