9. Joe Stevenson - Just think he's way overhyped for who he's beaten. He's a top 10 guy in the UFC LW division but he's far from a champ.

Losing to Machida isn't that bad of a thing he joins the ranks of Tito, Penn, and Franklin. Whooptee fuckin doo!!!
Joe was KOTC has 28 wins under his belt and he totally destroyed Yves Edwards and beat Bam Bam who is two weight classes above him. I don't think he is overrated at all he is what he is. No one says he is the second coming or the best lightweight in the UFC come on!!

1. Serra 6-5 UFC record, highly mediocre fighter that got a break on a reality show. How many TUF 4 guys are left. Clementi, IMO is the best guy left from TUF 4
2. Thiago Silva - Once he takes a step up in competition, he gets exposed. Mendes was handling him for the better part of that fight and that shit won't fly against the better LHW fighters.
3. Koscheck - I just can't see how grinding out a decision and being happy just winning makes you climb the ladder. He's proud that he laid all over Sanchez just to get the win.
4. Okami - Yes he deserves his title shot because he's 6-1 but name one worthy opponent that he's beat to get to where he is.
5. Brandon Vera - Beat the likes of Eilers, and a post motorcyle crash Mir and is the next big thing and as soon as he takes the next step, he loses 2 straight.
6. Stephan Bonnar - Still riding high off his loss to Forrest. Should have never made it past Southworth on the TUF show.
7. KJ Noons - Benefits from a lack of competition in EliteXC. His win over Nick Diaz is legit but so was his destruction by Charles Bennett.
8. Sokodjou - I'm a fan of the guy but his wins over Arona and Lil Nog were followed by his destruction at the hands of Machida. So Soko KO's 2 elite LHW fighters (Arona and Lil Nog) then suffers 1 loss to another top ranked LHW fighter(Machida) and now he has to earn the right to call people out?!? I know you are referring to Shogun but did you forget Shogun lost in his debut also.... against Forrest Griffin? Your arguments just do not piece together well at all.
On a side note, I do agree with a couple of your picks though.

Just my opinion dude. I saw the thread and came up with my own list. It's not stone and I'm not a pro writer, I just expressed what I thought. I stand behind my choices.
For the record, I think a fighter like Soko is going to be what it takes to beat Machida. He didn't execute but an aggressive, powerful striker with KO power is what it will take to stop Machida. No one will outpoint him that I can see and it will be hard to submit him.

I look forward to watching Soko grow in the sport over the next few years but with 7 fights and being 5-2, he hasn't earned the right to call out future HOFers yet. It's just my opinion. Who am I, just another internet poster. Just like you, no better, no worse. Some will agree with me, some won't. At the end of the day, who cares. These are supposed to be fun right?

Randy Couture (16-8 record doesn't seem like proof that the only thing left for you to prove is to fight Fedor)
|
I think Randy should be #2 on the list. But I completely agree with this statement.

I'm not lying when I say that Fedor Emelianenko will be the next to fight Brock Lesnar. This is what I truly believe.

Dude you can't be afraid to speak your mind because you're afraid of getting neg'd. Fuck what anyone thinks. Speak your mind. Just do it in an educated fashion, use proper grammar, puncutation and complete sentences. Don't get personal with people like name calling and the like. Everyone has the freedom to express their opinion on here. If they don't like it, then fuck em. Stand up for yourself. You're always going to have the old timers out there who will call you a noob or whatever and push you around because they can, but there are also plenty of ol' timers on here that make it worth coming back. Fuck everyone else. The point is, speak your mind. If they neg you, they neg you. At the end of the day, it's the internet.

Sorry, just my opinion. Tyson lost to Frankie Edgar. He beat Guida, Tavares and Tibau by close decision. I think he lost to Guida and the other two fights were very debatable. Wiman finished Tavares...Huerta finished Guida but Tyson couldn't. Just not impressed. I would like to see him fight Penn, Diaz, Stevenson, Florian, Huerta, Sherk or Maynard and beat one or two of them. Then I would call him a top LW fighter.

Edgar is one of the better LWs in the UFC. You also have to remember that Griffin holds wins over Bang Ludwig and Urijah Faber. That's some good competition to hold wins over.

Everyone on here has put up some pretty impressive lists. There is one fighter that I cant believe isnt on any of them. That guy is Michael Bisping.
