10. Thiago Silva ( good record, but against who? We will see after Wandy fight)
9. Nick Diaz (working out a deal to use his face instead of little white glove on Hamburger helper boxes)
8. Robbie Lawler (shot up the ranks for becoming Elite MW champ)
7. Tim Sylvia (really hasn't been the devastating striker he was before that positive test?)
6. Dennis Kang (was said that he would wreak havoc on the MW division because of hugely padded record)
5. Matt Serra (TUF catapulted largely marginal fighter to fame, fluke KO of GSP made him world champ, utter domination in second fight showed the truth)
4. Randy Couture (16-8 record doesn't seem like proof that the only thing left for you to prove is to fight Fedor)
3. Phil Baroni (.500 fighter who seems to get more airtime than most champs?)
2. Tito Ortiz (great self promoter who has proven very little in the octagon over past couple of years)
1. Kimbo Slice (Duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

OK, go ahead and flame, I am sure some people may have intelligent replies or even their own additions.
i disagree with lawler and couture, they're not ranked that high because of so called "paper" accomplishments like being the champ and less than stellar win/loss ratio. there's good reason they're both top 10 or even top 5 in their respective weight classes, due to their recent wins. couture just beat sylvia and gonzaga, and lawler beat trigg and rua. those four opponents were top ten when couture and lawler beat them.

i kno im going 2 get flamed for this but i dont care because it is my own opinion, i think machida is over-rated, yes he does have a difficult style 2 fight against but i will become a believer when he fights a top level fighter,

the thing is i dont think anybody can really argue with this, look at who he has beat, tito(everyone knows tito is no where near as good as he use 2 be), soko, who has had 5 fights in his career, then there are no other names worthy of mention in the ufc,

in my eyes the best victory he holds is over rich franklin or bj penn, however they where both a while ago and he is much bigger than bj

Robbie Lawler (shot up the ranks for becoming Elite MW champ)
Went up because he destroyed Villasenor, Trigg then Ninja. Granted he shouldn't be on the top end of top 10 MW's but at least the lower end.

I am very glad sometimes its hard to read people on the internet. There are some people here that have said everyone of those fighters on seperate occasions are over ratted. I was just hoping you weren't going over to the dark side!!

ortiz is overrated

diaz is underrated, he can beat anybody in the world on the right day
I never said Serra got a lucky punch, he threw with bad intentions and landed, I said the KO was a fluke, meaning 9 out of 10 times GSP destroys him. It just so happens Serra got the 1 win he would have in the first fight.

As far as Diaz, you said it yourself, on the right day, he should be able to beat these guys everyday.
