Thompson completely owned Melendez in every aspect of the fight. I was very, very impressed. I must say I wasn't even disappointed that it went to a decision, even if I have work at 9 AM tomorrow.

I can't believe Thomson actually beat melendez. I thought melendez would over work him but damn, Thomson finally does it. Without any more injuries, Thomson is on the best out there.

I was picking Thomson to win the fight as I always felt he was underrated but man that was a dominating performance in every aspect of the fight. His strikes were so bloody sharp and accurate. He threw great combos, timed his takedowns well and got back control beautifully many times. I'm hoping he can continue to fight like this all the time.
I've loved him since the first superman punch he threw in UFC lol. Good to see him win in a high profile fight.

Hehehe no way man the more you smile during a fight the more bad ass you are. A nice genuine smile does wonders, look at Serra before he mauled GSP. Look at Amir throughout TUF. Even Chuck cracked a shit eaters grin for a second or two as he was walking out to fight Wand.
Now when you fake smile like Jardine, you get destroyed by the rape choke within 60 seconds.
