I want to hear this confirmed by someone else. When the fuck has Wanderlei Silva avoided a fight? He'll fight anyone. If he turned down the fight, it was for good reason and Wanderlei still wins this 9 out of 10 times. He's made a living of fighting bigger guys with great standup.

I can back up my statement that Brandon Vera might TKO Machida. You can't back up your reason that Machida would stop Vera in the first. Machida stopped 7 of his 8 opponents he tko'd 6. Vera fought and beat alot bigger, stronger opponents, none with the elusiveness of Machida but Vera should be able to catch him and is strong enough to keep him in one area.

Yeah I'm a hypocrite cause most of Vera's wins are by tkoing bigger stronger opponents. If he wins its most likely going to be by tko. I tell you that you have no right to say that Machida will stop Vera in the first round because that was a dumb statement. Machida hasn't finished anybody in the first round since 2004 and your saying Machida will beat vera in the first.

Taking Machida on short notice is a risky fight, especially moving down in weight as a first fight...Vera is not stupid, he is just using his Brain.

Last week when they first announced the UFC throwing together the July 19 card to combat Affliction, Vera-Wanderlei Silva was the planned main event. Wanderlei turned down the fight saying he preferred to fight on the Decemeber card. Later in the week it was announced they are trying to get Wanderlei to fight T. Silva in October.
