Okami is the deserving MW contender.
Whether MacDonald likes that or not.
However for the card to sell imo the UFC need a highly marketable Co-Main event.

He lost to Franklin, who has he beaten to deserve a shot?
J-Mac is right and the same thing I said in a previous post this has zero selling power as a main event and is sub-par co-main event.
This won't sell any PPV's.

So what if he lost to Franklin? that fight was for a title shot in which Franklin got.. and lost.. so who should get it besides Okami? or should we just keep giving it to Rich over and over again? or just let Anderson hold on to the belt with no fights until Okami beats Franklin?

Lol, And you think Ricardo Almeida vs Anderson would sell any more then this? That's just your personal opinion, which is totally backwards in this case.
Whos Okami beat? Rory Singer,Kalib Starnes,J-Mac,Alan Belcher,Mike Swick,Evan Tanner. His only loss was a UD to Franklin. If you look at Okamis resume, then Cotes and Almeidas,he's got the more wins, and he's got more impressive wins.
Okami/Franklin headed UFC 72,for no title, with very weak main card, and pulled in around 300 thousand buys. Why wouldnt him vs Anderson pull in atleast the same,if not another 50 K? Put like Wandy vs Lyoto as the Co main and you got yourself a PPV thats gonna sell over 500 thousand in PPV buys, easily.

Well you know he is partially right. I mean a Silva vs Okami rematch is not exactly a dream fight. However, in a division being dominated by the champion Okami is the only one at this time that has earned a title shot. Something MacDonald has yet to do. So until he does earn himself a shot or at least gets close enough to sniff a title shot then I really don't care what he has to say on the subject.

Who has he beaten?
6-1 in UFC.
1 loss to Franklin.
6 wins against Tanner, Macdonald, Swick, Singer, Starnes and Belcher.
Who else is deserving of a title shot in the MW division right now?

thats the sad part, it basically comes down to that, who else is there. Also if a title fight needs a "co-main event" that tells you something as well .

Yes it does.
After Okami [in my opinion], Silva needs to move to 205. Be a whole new weight class and challenge for him in the LHW division, and would clean up the MW division as you could see Hendo vs Franklin for the belt and there would be a big list of contenders again.

agreed there, maybe we could have a hendo vs franklin rivalry, I think they match up well and would be a good fight. Rich wins the first one, hendo gets a rematch takes the title and then rich works his way back and reclaims it.. oh ya I can dream (please note, non of my dreams involve Okami and a title)
