Fighter Fighting records not updated?

Anyone see the most recent TUF live on Saturday?
Has anyone followed the TUF season from begining?

The winner (Amir) of this seasons TUF was introduced live on spike, and his record showed 1-0.

I taught he won 3 matches during the TUF season, did it not count?
He should be 3-0?

The past few years I've noticed fighter records displayed incorrectly on many occasions, anyone else know what I'm talking about?

They're exhibitions, 2 round fights. They don't count towards your pro record.

Two things, the TUF show fights don't count, only the finale fights count towards their official records.

The other thing is the UFC consistently skews fighter records to sell fights. When GSP-Serra II was the main event, Serra's record was actually 9-5, hardly main event worthy so they added a bunch of victories he had in grappling and BJJ matches that aren't considered MMA wins to push his record to 16-5. They do it all the time.

I know what your talking about. They count the semi final fights towards the record thats why Amir was 1-0(beat CB in semis), CB was 7-1(beat Tim but lost to Amir)

also when Matt Brown first fought, Dana said hes 9-6. But when I looked him up I saw hes 6-6 (now 7-6)..but I think they like to fluff up the records to make the fighters sound a little better at times.

part of the difference comes form amateur fights vs pro fights. So a guy could be 9-6 in fights but only 6-6 in pro fights.

Then the other part is the exhibition fights like everyone else has mentioned.

Last I saw Frank Edgar was still 7-0-0 according to UFC.com though his chart shows his loss to Maynard.

Even though it's more clear now, still it seems like the records get twicked as mentioned above.
Kinda sux, there isn't a universal record tracking system.

Oh well, in the end, it the fight that matters.

Fightfinder and wikipedia keep really good track of their actual MMA records. The orgs are always tweaking records to sell fights.

All fights that are schedule for a three rounder count or five round championships two round is exhibition and the TUF fights that are three rounders count so Amir should be 2-0 or what he likes to say 5-0. I can't wait to see his next fight when he comes from a MMA camp and I guess hes with Forrest's camp now.
