I don't think anyone could argue Ken can EASILY be a main event and draw a decent PPV. So why all the hate? The guy has done enough for the sport to deserve to do whatever he wants with his career. So what if he doesn't want to go down at the top of his game. Who in this sport does?
I'm betting 99% of the retired fighters did so without many other options.

Thump, it's not hate..it's reality. Ken can't hang with these guys today. Quite honestly, neither can Royce. For that matter, look at how Hughes has been handled by newer, younger fighters.
No one wants to see a fighter suffer a humiliating defeat or even possibly harm/death in the ring/cage. It pained me to see Tanner such a wresck last week.
A fighter should know when it's time to say goodnight.
