New MMAWeekly World Rankings
Quote:
The latest MMAWeekly World MMA Rankings were released on Wednesday, June 25. This system ranks the Top 10 MMA fighters from all across the world in each of the six most widely accepted weight classes.
Taken into consideration are a fighter's performance in addition to his win-loss record, head-to-head and common opponents, difficulty of opponents, and numerous other factors in what is the most comprehensive rankings system in the sport.
Fighters who are currently serving drug-related suspensions are not eligible for Top 10 consideration until they have fought one time after the completion of their suspension.

I think this is the first time i've seen Stevenson above Sherk. I actually agree with that.

Overall pretty good imo. However I think there are problems with 185. Hendo being that low is reprehensible.
Other than Silva, who on that list would be a Vegas favorite against Hendo? Maybe only Franklin and I even doubt that. I know they take a lot of things into account but I just don't see how you put guys like Lawler and Okami ahead of him.

Lawler at #4 is questionable, and so is Misaki at #5. And how Kang is in the top ten while Akiyama isn't is beyond me.
The MW rankings are fucked IMO.

MMAWeekly always has the worst rankings...i never go by what they think. they have the #1's right in every weight class, but other then that its all screwy.
Shogun, Chuck, Henderson, even Forrest are in all the wrong places...and for the most part MW is completely f'd up!!!

Also Randy is the #3 HW??? Sheesh....
I think these rankings have room for improvement.

While I don't agree with everything here, I am SHOCKED at the lack of Kid Yammamoto on the Featherweight list.
He should be #2 IMO.
