Just do this next time.

I found out my results, I’ve got a totally torn MCL that is still attached
to my femur. I’ve got a partially torn PCL. They really think that the PCL
will repair itself and that MCL has a chance of repairing itself. So we’re
going to hold off on surgery right now. I am going to get a second opinion
this week, so that might change; but for now we’re going to hold off on
surgery.
Got more news to come this week, so there will be another blog entry the
middle of the week. -matt

I wonder what Matt will do in regards to his career if he needs surgery.

I think he is done. His Lytle and Alves fights kinda tell us where he is at now days. I really don't think Matt losing to Alves was really all that Alves was that good it is just that Matt is now that bad. IMO

I guess that Hughes-Serra fight is a long way from happening. Oh well, set Serra up with another mid-tier guy who will make him look bad.

absolutely not. i wouldn't be able to stand hearing matt hughes talk on a semi-regular basis. the only reason i can stand hearing him talk as he's promoting a fight is because there's the chance he may get his ass kicked. to have to listen to him without any chance of someone shutting him up, i just don't think i could do it.
