Phil Baroni has always been one of my fav fighters, but he needs to take some time off and revaluate himself. It's to soon to come back after three big losses and to move down in weight. Give yourself some time to recover and do some serious training else it's gonna be lights out all over again.

I think this shows some incredible generousity from baroni.
Letting an entire other weight class beat the shit out of him. That's just something you don't see in this day and age

All those muscles he's piled up eat up a lot of oxygen. He needs to cut some of his mass and be able to hang for more than a couple minutes. I think the move to 170 could help him bring his record up past .500.
All in all, a good move for Phil if wants to stay with the ever-evolving MMA scene.

Lol, that's one of the funniest things I've read in a while, a scary Baroni. They should Have him fight Ross Pointon, although he'd probably still lose to him.
I honestly don't understand, Baroni is the worst fighter who gets the most attention, well except for Kimbo.

I probably should have been a bit more specific with the usage of the word scary. Not to say that he would do well @ 170 or beat any decent comp, he would just be a huge WW. I also like his flamboyant entrances. other than that, i've said he sucks for years.

not exactly how I would have put it, but I somewhat agree with you.
Baroni needs to take fighting more seriously if he thinks he's going to be able to compete with the new generation of fighters. It's not like the guy can't get better. He's strong as hell, his wrestling is..meh, well it's alright i guess, but not nearly as good as it needs to be, and his submission skills suck..we all know that.
I hear him in interviews saying how he "hates the ground" and this and that, but the majority of mma fights wind up on the ground at some point. He needs to lose his prima donna attitude and start exploring various camps if he thinks he's going to make it anywhere in the 170lb division. This whole "I'm gonna ko this bum" b.s. that he keeps tellin himself aint workin. If he isn't willing to make drastic changes, he needs to hang em' up.

If Phildo the Dildo would spend more time training an less time lifting weights he would actually be pretty good.
But nope, Phil feels he has to look like a Abercrombie model when he fights.
He has no cardio because all he does is lift weights all day long and smoke cigarettes. Not good for your cardio.
Here is a step by step plan for Phil to follow to become better.
1. Run as fast as you can away from Mark Coleman
2. Find a good camp and stay (Must follow rule 1 in picking a camp)
3. Stop smoking and follow a diet
4. cut 3/4 of your weight lifting out
5. Now that the basics are out of the way, you now must train.
6. Train very hard in all aspects of mma.
7. stay away from the weights.
8. train more
9. repeat 5-8 multiple times (assuming your smart enough to follow 1-4)
If he followed those steps he would be 20x better.
But sadly these are the steps he follows
1. Listen to Mark Coleman
2. Lift weights 5-7 hours daily
3. Smoke 2 packs of cigarettes daily
4. Drink whenever
5. Train MMA 1 hour 3 times a week.
6. Look at self in mirror while lifting weights
7. Talk lots of shit
8. Get knocked out

Thats more along the lines of what I was thinking, but who knows maybe Baroni will get on track at a different weight...
