Nonetheless there is no organization that is even close to the UFC in public perception which reaffirms my thoughts that UFC officials would be much better off continuing to improve their product and letting the other groups mismanage their way to obscurity. It is all about building stars and building a brand identity and that, whether it be MMA or pro wrestling, isn't going to change. Much like watching CBS's coverage of Elite XC, the brand Elite XC got less mentions or so it seemed than CBS which isn't in the MMA business….yet. Elite XC missed some opportunities to build their brand on CBS which is certainly not say that I did not enjoy their presentation because I did.

Look, I've never promoted myself EVER on this site as a wrestling fan (and I am not one at all now), but I have been listening to Jim Ross since NWA was aired on LATE Saturday nights (@ 10-11 PM) on TBS in Atlanta when I was ten years old. To hear Ross even TALK about MMA just "tickles me pink" as my Grandma Cooley would have said.

P.S. He could announce an MMA fight RIGHT NOW with more skill than any Goldberg currently could.

It'd be pretty badass to hear rogan, Mauro and "old JR" announcing an mma match together. THAT would be my dream team along with Bas somewhere in there. Especially after Ross got all the knowledge he would need involving subs and defenses. that would be cool.

Aahhh sigh. He just has that inestimable ability to create drama merely through the sound of his voice! lol

hahaha, yeah, there are so many of them. slobber knocker was mentioned and its one of my favs and I know he would us "intestinal fortitude" during every fight.

Yeah, I dont watch as often as i used to but when NWO was big i was watchin. It seems so effortless for him when hes behind the mic and that draws people in. He's good shit.
