If Leben is on this card I don't know if he'll be fighting Bisping. Since Bisping just fought twice in the last few months. But then again I wouldn't be shocked if Bisping did take the fight since he was probably uninjured against Day.

Wandy vs. Vera...good idea?
Wandy vs. Vera is an awesome match don't get me wrong, But do you think it's a good idea?
I love both of them, and I wanna see them both be successful.
I thought the UFC wanted to build these two up. In this fight one is going to move up while the other is going to go further down. I think the UFC should allow these two to win more fights and build some momentum and build their credibility up to make this fight more interesting...Wut do u guys think?

I don't care how good the show is, I'll still be watching 'Banned' just based out of principles. This news is pretty fucked up and was blatantly done, because the UFC wants to monopolize the sport.

What's gonna happen is that the hardcores are all gonna buy the PPV and TiVo the Spike card, while the casual fans will watch the Spike card and not realize a quality PPV is taking place. I myself want to watch the Affliction PPV. Sadly, I'm poor and I'm cheap, so I'll probably end up watching free UFC on Spike.
These are the same counter-programming tactics that HBO and Showtime have been engaging in as of late with boxing.
I can see why Dana is doing it, I understand the cold, business-like reasoning for it, but I don't like it. It's fine to put a card on the same day, but if Dana was really smart, he'd have his proposed card earlier in the day and stack that shit up as best as he can. That way, he's not being perceived as a dick, but at the same time, he's showing up Affliction in making a point that the UFC is capable of putting on quality shows whenever they want and that they're still the top dogs when it comes to MMA. That, or they do how they did with the WEC Faber/Pulver card coming the night after the Elite XC card on CBS. It's not directly competing with another organization, but they are showing them up with a superior product.
This sort of shit never happened that much when Pride was around. I never saw Pride and UFC cards scheduled on the same days. It's like there was a sort of professional courtesy between the two. This whole thing just goes to show how competitive and vindictive Dana White is capable of being.

LOL what would you do if you were the UFC? Everyone hates on the UFC when they want to take away viewship from rival orgs. What doy uo expect them to do? Pormote the Fedor v. Timmy fight just because Timmy used to be UFc champ?

I'm definitely ordering the Affliction card (though I won't be home to watch it) so having a free card on spike would at least allow me to try and injure myself somehow to get back to the hotel to watch that...
Either way this is great news, doesn't make a bit of difference to me who puts on what, the more quality mma...
the better...

Dude depending on what hotel you are staying at you should be able to call ahead and get a VCR. There might be a little fee (there wasn't when I did it) , and you will have to bring a blank tape but hey , you get the best of both worlds.

Good thing my DVR can tape two things at once AND there's TVU/Sopcast.
Nothing that night can top what Affliction is about to put on, imo. But "YEAAA" for mma fans across the globe. lol

Ask yourself. If you owned the UFC, what would you do? Oh no big bad Dana is trying to take viewers away from he competition, boo hoo. You know damn well if you owned the UF or ran the UFC you would try to do the same damn thing.

I'm actually considering Paying for the affliction card, just to show support.lol
And I haven't paid for ANY event since UFC 59 Tito Vs. Forrest.
But, I'm still debating.lol I'll probably have them both playing at the same time side by side.lol
