Shamrock after the Ortiz pounding was definitely one of the worst I've seen, too. Someone described his as looking like "chewed bubblegum" on here very recently in one of the other threads. That's a damn good description. I'll owe you some rep for that one.

I was gonna say the same thing.
Tanner & Shamrock both looked like they had their faces boiled after their fights. They had mouses on top of cuts on top of mouses.

My vote for a messed-up grill would have to go to Jens Pulver after his fight with Faber. His face was so swollen on the right side, it looked deformed. I've also seen some shots of Karo where both of his eyes were swollen shut and he looked pretty messed up.

That was me that referred to his face as chewed bubblegum and that was my pick for this thread. Jens Pulver after the Urijah Faber fight was nasty too and speaking of recent ones, Shawn Sherk after the Penn fight. Not in the cage when he was sweaty but after the show and he showered where you could see the cuts. He was swollen and cut up so bad, it looked like Predator broke into his dressing room and did some plastic surgery.

Lets not forget the women, did you see Kaitlin Young's face after Gina had her way with her, that was a black and blue mess all up face.

He didnt look physically bad after the fight but what about when Forrest got KOd by jardine and was crying in the cage and then ran out back to the locker room. IMO that was just plain pitiful.Its one thing to look bad cause you just fought your heart out, but to run out crying is looking real bad.

The after-AFTER fight pics are the best. After the swelling as settled in and the cuts are scabbing up, that's when then fighters look like they've lost a fight. could you imagine if Wiman got pummled in his fight and had to take his wedding photos with mice (mouses) and cuts all over his devilishly handsome face?

I know it doesn't compare to a lot of these, but GSP after the fight with penn looked beat up. He may have won, but he certainly didn't look like it. Plus, this answers part two of your question quite nicely.
