Dana is talking like it's something that will change the structure of MMA, I wouldn't rule out a TV deal though

MMA getting sanctioned in the state of New York would be pretty monumental in the grand scheme. I keep saying that a UFC event at Madison Square Garden would be the one thing that says to the mainstream that MMA is here to stay.

A broadcast deal of some sort is more likely though.

maybe they are bring back pride.. fuck i wish.. i wishhhhh.
or at least they got the soccer kicks and upper kicks legal while on the ground now, that would be awesome.
or they are going to have open weight tournament like they used to have in pride.. that would kick ass.

My two guesses...

-UFC is launching their own fight channel
-UFC is expanding to Asia or South America and will have a show there this year (kinda like Ultimate Brazil or Ultimate Japan back in the day).

The out of left field choice...Zuffa/UFC has been bought out by ESPN, Fox, etc.

How about they're gonna start up an 145 division and they signed Gomi and Mayweather and that's their first fight. Or more realistically, how about they have a new energy drink sponsorship.

I think it's going to be 1 of 3 things:

1. Could be a network TV deal

2. They are going public to pay for expansion and will do their IPO at the end of the summer

3. They are going to start doing superfight cards with both boxing and MMA on the cards and partnering with Floyd Mayweather!

Gomi is unhappy with WVR and came down to train at Xtreme Couture. Perhaps the announcement is Gomi signing with the UFC?

Or maybe it's Maywhether signing with the UFC?

Or maybe it's that BJ Penn will fight the winner of GSP/Fitch for the first title unfication bout in UFC history?

I mean who knows? One thing is for sure though, the UFC has us guessing right now.
