A little bit too early to be getting exicted about this, but I really hope Affliction (and Dream) are sucessfull, as then the UFC will strive to put on even better shows if they are being challenged by other orgs - making all us fans the winners.

And really I wouldn't worry about the UFC losing many names, they have their marque fighters and those guys aren't going anywhere. Adnerson, Rampage, GSP, Penn, Chuck, Wanderlei, Nog, Machida, their up and coming talent and a deep enough roster to keep their champions challenged
I don't think that given their prior affiliation and good relationship with Affliction, I can see Rampage and GSP moving on in the future. Especially after the backlash for the lost money on sponsorship.

There's no reason that Affliction can't give Tito a Punishment Athletics brand under the Affliction umbrella the same way they gave Couture the Xtreme Couture brand. I actually think the combination of the 2 styles would make for an awesome looking shirt.
As for Tito, I think this is going to cement his status with Affliction. I wouldn't be surprised to see it announced June 25, the day after his 30 day exclusive negotiating rights expire. It's just too bad he just fought. We could have seen an Ortiz-Belfort II on this card as well.
And finally, Trump. Trump has shown tremendous patience in the past with losing a little in the beginning to make big strides in the end. And one of the things that makes this different from any other organization is Trump actually owns venues that could hold their events eliminating the middle man when it comes to live gate revenue. That could play a big part when it comes to fighter payroll. I know everyone gets excited when a new organization comes along that can potentially compete with the UFC in a big way, but this is the first time that there is actually talent+money+smart businessman all in the relationship. All of the other times, at least 1 of those things were missing from the equation.
Trump >>>>>> Cuban or Ayre. Trump knows how to make shit happen and if he's in with Affliction for the long haul, I could see them outclassing the UFC. He has enough money to lose alot for a looooooong time until that happens. He's got venues he can book and he knows how to put on a show. THIS IS FUCKIN HUGE!!

tmlfan has the key. So long as Trump understands that this is not a fast money type of investment and that he will lose alot before he makes anything, then this is fucking giant. If Trump doesn't understand tha he is more likely to back out pretty quickly.
I could see Tito buying part of the promotion with Jenna and with the roster that Affliction already has + Tito + Jenna(lol) + Donald FUCKING Trump = HUGE FUCKING SUCCESS.
I can definitely see Tito getting into this promotion now. It will make it another knotch closer to being a great promotion.

Um 1 of Trumps casino's filed for bankruptcy and he has been married how many times and lost his money in the divorce?
But regardless, Trump backing this promotion is a good thing. It will be interesting to see what happens after the first card. Affliction at least is putting on a fantastic card for their first card (something exc should have done for their cbs debut). But what happens after this first card? There are some other good matchups from the fallouts of the first card, but there are only so many fights with the few fighters they have.
Everyone expected EXC to do bigger numbers than UFC has done when they debuted on CBS. And if you didn't, well wow. But I don't think their next show will come close to the same numbers. Same thing can be said for Affliction. Their first PPV will probably draw big numbers, but the 2nd one, not so sure about.
The financial backing Trump presents really is the final piece Affliction needed to make them a serious contender as an organization.
On a side note, I think their clothing is all right (some of it), I don't own any of it, and it certainly attracted a lot of douche-bags. Let's hope their success doesn't increase that number exponentially.

Haha aint that the truth. Wasn't it Rogan who called someone out over it too?
This my be abit outside this thread but i've heard Aleksander is fighting on the Affliction card and i've also heard Arlovski is fighting, however neither is on the official Affliction "banned" site. Does anyone know if these two are definitely on the card?
