Lawler/Smith and Kimbo/Thompson are definitely worth the watch (Lawler Smith more so).
I think there may be some "Damn, that was an awesome UFC last week" affecting the comments. It was a top notch UFC card. This finished with a really sloppy "main event", and all the fights had really quick stoppages, due to the CBS factor.
Take it for what it is worth. You just have to realize that the first two fights were UFC undercard level fighters, at best, good womens fight, excellent brawl until the early stoppage, and two maybe mid level guys headlining.
This isn't even in the same ball park, talent-wise, as the upcomoing Affliction card. EliteXC doesn't have enough depth to do much more than they did last night.

I don't mind paying for WEC after last night discombobalation, and with Affliction just around the corner I think I will make it through these rough times.

WEC puts on better shows than the UFC. Smaller cage, great support of the lighter weights, no melodrama/overhype, solid announcing. And it's free.

How much are you paying?
You can make your check out to me, if you want, or just check Versus on your local cable setting.

Lawler/Smith could have headlined a Fight Night. Otherwise the fights were Fight Night undercard worthy. As for the CBS factor, if they wanted to be bitches about it, they shouldn't have laced the whole card with strikers. Mainstream America could have used a couple JJ specialists to help understand the sport.

I'm stoked to get to see some real MMA. It'll be like a shot of Listerine after the taste Elite left in my mouth last night. Go Pulver.

I think the only real early stoppage watching it again was the Lawler Smith fight.Smith was clearly ok to fight, but even so that fight was bad ass,if you look at last nights live discussion in mmanews you have people saying,"DAMN!!! DAMN!! Fight of the year so far?!?!" Kimbo fight may have been stopped 2 seconds early but he was about to KO Thompson,he was on his way out.The Carano fight was great to,and I feel it was stopped a bit early by normal standards, but after all this is being seen by millions of people for the first time and that girls eye was all fucked up.People would think it was to brutal with a girl all fucked up like that.

I'm ready - but I don't have Versus. Anybody have a suggestion as to how to watch it live?
