I hate Roy Nelson more than I do Penn, Baroni, and GSP combined. He's a fat shelterd hick who thinks he is the shit. I'd say Kimbo exposes him and puts him to sleep early. I would love to see this fight!
You don't have to like the guy, but to say he thinks he's the shit is moronic. I've seen interviews with this guy and he's nothing but class. Even after he pounded Imes in the face until it was stopped he did nothing but heap praise on the guy.
If you haven't sent his guy fight I suggest you try to find some of his fights, he may not have the cardio of Tito but for as big as he is the mother fucker is impressive the cardio he has.
Nelson can bang and is aggressive, I don't see this lasting all that long before someone gets KO'd. I am not sure who it would be but someone would go down hard and fast. War Shaw making this fight happen, but I agree that he probably wouldn't allow it to happen.

He came off like he thought he was the shit when he was on Inside MMA. Talking as if he could teach Dan Henderson a thing or two and questioning (IMO) Dan's toughness when he talked about him tapping out to Silva. He didn't come off as classy to me when I saw that.
Nelson is not a joke, he may look like he hangs out at KFC and has no cardio but he does have good cardio and a sub game. It be a great test for Kimbo.
Iīm not buying Roy Nelsons greatnes just yet, sloppy haymaykers and that weight could cost against top competion cardio wise. But he has something Kimbo doesnīt and thatīs experience, especially on the ground. If plays it smart Nelson should win rather easily by GnP.
People talk about Kimbo's lack of competitive competition like he's a seasoned veteran. The guy only has two MMA fights under his belt. Now I know ppl are going to say if he is the main event of one of the biggest MMA shows ever he should be fighting real competition and I agree to an extent. But the fact remains he is a cash cow for Elite XC and and they are not going to rush him and I really can't blame them for that despite my feelings on the matter.
I almost jumped out of my chair at work when I read this article. For those, myself included, complaining about the lack of competition for Kimbo, this could be a very big test for Kimbo. For those who don't know, Roy Nelson is the HW champ of the IFL, is 13-2, who's a big guy (chubby) but has cardio like Tito and isn't afraid to slug it out with the likes of Kimbo. I'd be in line to see this fight.
Ther eis no way SHAW will let this fight happen, roy Nelson would come in, take Kimbo down and sub him or GnP him out in the first round...
Though Shaw bad mouths Dana all the time about not co-promoting, he will not co-promote with the IFL to let his cash cow get his ass handed to him.

Why would I be kidding? James Thompson beat Yoshida, Frye, and Severn.. Roy Nelson has beaten who? Brad Imes and Fabio Scherner.. he lost to Ben Rothwell who I consider to be an average HW and then he lost to Josh Curran who im sure is only known by his mother in MMA. Roy Nelson is wild, I dont see the credentials on paper or on film to say that this guy really is a test.. hes a brawler.. who folded vs the only top competition hes ever faced.. and that top competition was Ben Rothwell! James Thompson loses cuz of his chin, hes still got a lot better skillset then Roy Nelson and has shown that vs much better opponents.
