Agreed, if the implication was that he was a slouch, that's just not accurate. Pellegrino is SOLID.

But Neer does seem to be a step backward from Batman. No worries....Nate is still just a baby, we'll be able to enjoy this guy's fighting for years. No need to rush into the huge fights immediately.

Neer's record in the UFC -- 3-3. The 3 losses are to Fickett, Burkman, and Nick Diaz all at WW. He beat Stevenson and Guillard at WW and Din at LW.

Still think Nate will win but this could be legitimately considered his toughest test.

You got to love potentially having both Diaz brothers put the stamp on you. Without looking at Sherdog, I'm thinking he might be the first with that honor?

I was wondering if at any point was Tyson affiliated with Ceaser Gracie? Or was he just from the Nor Cal area and might have trained with the Diaz boys? I was just wondering if maybe there was some old bad blood, but that would be a hell of a fight. Im not sure how I think it would turn out, Kurt was dominating Nate wrestling before Nate kicked off the cage and hit that triangle, Tyson is a better wrestler than Kurt, Fuck It I got Nate second round anaconda choke.

Neer is a vet and this will be a good test for Nate but i have to go with Nate by Sub. Victory,,he's just to slick on the ground,,,,i just wish we could see Nate vs Manny Gamburyian 2 instead

Tyson Griffin used to train under David Terrell and Cesar Gracie, and was affiliated with the Diaz brothers early in his career. it was around the time he went into the UFC where he left Gracie's camp and went to Xtreme Couture.

so there is some bad blood there, which is why Nate wants to fight him.

and for the record, Neer is no slouch but he doesn't beat Nate ever. waste of a fight and hopefully Nate gets Tyson after this one. Nate by Sub Rd 1

No love for Neer at all eh?, Well IMO hes a Tough SOB, With wins over Joe Daddy and Guillard at WW and Din at LW i give Neer the edge. I dont think Nate could beat Joe Daddy or Din yet, but he'd take down Guillard and sub him. I just can't beileve everyone is just writing him off with "Nate Sub Rd1"<--- I cannot see that happening.
