I can;t knock his accomplishments, and I cant sit here and say he's over rated. He's a damn good fighter, and is definitely one of the sports best..but dammit he's an ass.

I think this pretty much sums up BJ, awesome fighter but a really ass. He seems to have a problem with everyone he fights and then usually wants to be friends after, fn annoying. I prefer guys like Anderson Silva and Fedor, they just fight and try not to talk too much shit.

Well on the pulver situation, Bj admitted holding on to the choke, I believe his exact word were "i took a deep breathe and this is for 5 years of all your shit talking". I mean while it was a lil unprofessional, it is hard to ignore your emotions when in a combat scenario. I normally don't condone that but it is somewhat understandable....
Even Jens was like, shit he held on, if it was roles reversed, he would have done the same exact shit. It wasn't the fake tito- shamrock bullshit, it was genuwine dislike for each other (even hate) Jens even said he got more respect for BJ for some reason.

Many I mean Many Fighters have to psyche them selves this way or they wont give their oponet their all. Which is bad for the fighter and bad for us fans.

No he is just smart and knows it is all business to hype a fight. Fights that have a bigger story behind it make more money. After Penn fights someone, his opponent earns Penn's respect, he shakes the guys hand, hugs him and squashes all the drama.

I don't understand what the big deal about BJ Penn holding onto the choke a little longer than needed or Babalu doing the same thing is all about. I mean this is just something that's part of the sport. This is something that has been happening in grappling competitions for ever. It's like fighting in Hockey or getting hit by a fastball in baseball, yeah it's no fun and it hurts, but it's all just apart of the sport. I mean it's not like Pulver was hurt after that fight, because the choke was held in a little bit longer than usual. I mean there was no harm done, so people really need to stop crying about it. I mean even Pulver doesn't go around complaining about, lol.
