Vera by decision or late tko
Marquardt by tko
Swick - Davis is too close to call imo

Hughes vs. Alves...Winner = Alves - Hughes would have easily taken this fight two years ago. but he hasn't been the same fighter since he lost to GSP in their second fight IMHO. Alves has improved so much in every aspect of the game, and i feel he takes this by KO/TKO late in the 1st.

Day vs. Bisping...Winner = Day - I still wish this was Leben...I'm really just hoping Day pulls this one out cuz i hate Bisping!

Swick vs. Davis...Winner = Davis - Davis by Vicious KO late Rd 1!

Werdum vs. Vera...Winner = Werdum - I don't care at all for this fight. I've never really been a fan of Vera's or Werdum's for that matter. But the winner will likely be #1 contender, especially if it's Werdum.

Marquardt vs. Leites...Winner = Leites - Can't wait to see him catch Marquardt by Traingle off his back

Rivera vs. Kampmann...Winner = Rivera - pulling for Jorge cuz I don't like Kampmann. this will be one of the closer fights of the night i think. Kampmann gets finished and moves down to WW (i hope).

Tavares vs. Wiman...Winner = Tavares - i know a lot of people are picking Tavares, but i see this being a very very close fight. tavares wins by Split Decision.

Carneiro vs. Chonan...Winner = Carneiro - I hope for Chonan, but i just see him getting caught in this one.

Lambert vs. Cane...Winner - Lambert - Lambert wins this by TKO stoppage from GnP, unless Cane resorts to cheating again and knees a downed opponent LOL.

Liaudin vs. Taylor...Winner = Taylor - Taylor is one of my favorite WWs, and i hope he crushes the ever annoying Liaudin for a second time, and sends him packing from the UFC! never a dull fight with Taylor!!!

Hardonk vs. Wain...Winner = Who Cares?! aka Hardonk - Hardonk by KO.

Instead of complaining about someone else's picks, why don't you try picking some. That is the point of this thread, not criticizing someone else's.

Alves by tko of some sort. Bad matchup for Hughes.

Bisping should win, but on the other hand after seeing Day brutalize Belcher I think Day could surprise a lot of people.

Swick by headkicks. I'll be rooting for Davis though.

Marquardt is going to be too much for Leites.

Vera should win, but I can see it going both ways.

Rivera by old school style beatdown ala the Grove fight.

Wiman
Chonan
Lambert
Taylor
Hardonk

I do not see who people are thinking Alves is going to take this one. I give the guy credit, he is young, just KOed Karo and has a lot of momentum. But unless he suddenly developes GSP TDD, this fight is hitting the ground. When the fight hits the ground I just do not see much Alves can do to stop Hughes from passing guard and submitting him. Hughes via Kimura rd 1.

I think Vera will beat Werdum. Werdum has looked really bad in the standup and has shown he has a hard time taking guys down. I think Vera is good enough to keep this standing and put Werdum away. Vera TKO 3rd.

Davis KOs Swick in shocking fashion. I think it ends around the 3 minute mark of the first.

And those are basically the fights I care about.

I think the both will.

Alves is good, but I do not think he is ready for the top of the divison (I never thought Karo was the top of the division). Hughes, Fitch, Kos, GSP, and even Serra would all be a handful for Alves. Each guy has a really good ground game which is seems to be the one thing that is Alves' weakness. I could see Alves possibly beating Serra if Serra can't get the fight to the ground because of the size difference. But the other 4 would have not problem putting Alves on his back and submitting or TKOing him.

Swick just does not seem to be the same fighter at 170 that he was at 185. He may have lost some power and explosiveness in the cut, which will hurt him against a guy like Davis. Davis is already a better striker then Swick, so thats why I see him putting away swick rather early.

Because Lately Hughes has been reaching for his takedowns he had trouble Takin GSP down the 3rd time cause he was worried about getting Ko'd again therfore he was reaching and making his shots very obious. I think he is gonna be very reluctant to strike with Alves and will get caught with a knee coming in. In no way am I sayin Hughes has no shot I just think his best days are past him. You on the other hand are basically sayin Alves has no shot which isnt the case
