Rumor: Houston Alexander vs Eric Shafer UFN 14
Fightlinker » Blog Archive » Houston Alexander vs Eric Schafer (maybe) at UFN14
This seems like the UFC brass is setting Alexander for another HL KO. If it actually ends up happening I see Houston bashing the shit out of Shafer pretty easily... but it would be funny in a sad way if Houston just got taken down and submitted.

yeah this is definitely a "the loser gets fired" fight...Houston better not get taken down. if he can keep it standing, he's got this easily.
i still think both of these guys should consider drops to 185.

yeah...
Houston throws a huge overhand right, which Schafer ducks and Mazagatti ends up getting KOd instead!!! then they clinch and Schafer is all but KOd by a knee but Mazagatti is still out. Houston tries to revive Mazagatti to call for the knock out...while this is going on Schafer's corner hand him a stool which he uses to crack Houston's head from behind. Houston is out, then Schafer slaps on a RNC as Herb Dean runs down to call for the horn. Schafer wins the "Loser Gets Fired Match"!!!!!
::Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler took the announce booth from Rogan and Goldberg moments before the fight started::

Is this "loser gets fired" concept a good or a bad idea? I think both of these guys could use some work, and perhaps fighting outside the UFC could help them hone their respective games and give them some additional motivation to progress in their abilities. I don't think the policy is good for someone like Wandy, because he has proven that he brings the fight every time, but for fighters that can't maintain the consistency, then it doesn't sound like a bad plan.

So does this make Tito vs. Machida a Kiss my Ass match? If Tito loses he's got to kiss Dana's ass.
Sometimes it just writes itself.

Houston should take this one if he keeps it standing. Schafer seems to have a hard head but I can see Houston TKO'ing him in the first minute of the fight.
