Typical Dana...the guy is a walking talking fertilizer spreader.

How the hell he thinks he has the right to treat guys that regularily risk their lives to fill his pockets like this is amazing as hell to me. When they are making him money and doing what he wants...he kisses their asses in the media. Then when they aren't...he bashes and disrespects them.

Real freakin' professional. Real freakin' mature.

I wish he would have agreed to compensate Tito for that boxing match like he promised he would so Tito would have showed up, got in the ring, and beat the hell out of him. It cracked my ass up when he spent all that $$ puting on that TV special trying to make people believe that Tito was too scared to show up and fight him. Tito would have knocked his ass all over that ring....FFS.

One of these days that big mouth of his is going to really piss one of these guys (or one of their loyal fans) off, they are going to go all postal on his big bald head, and he is going to get KTFO. I just hope they get it on camera when it happens...lol

It wasn't the smartest thing to say on Dana's part but I'd be willing to bet he was trying to hype the fight a little bit more as opposed to issuing Wand a threat.

My issue is that there are casual fans who a) buy everything Dana says as though it's actually something worth listening too, and b) get all their understanding from Sherdog fightlinker stats without keeping things in context.

If there hadn't been any posts about "should Wandi be cut" or "Wandi has 3 losses in a row" that distorted his actual accomplishment, I'd keep my panties unbunched. But there are lots of idiots in the MMA audience.

I don't think Dana dislikes Wanderlei at all.

I think he finds it frustrating that he has a guy he knows can appeal to the US market in a huuuuuuge way but as of yet doesn't have a lot of casual fan backing as of yet.

If a casual fan wasn't aware of the extent of Wandys history then it's going to become increasingly hard to promote Wandys next big fight when he's 0-2 in the UFC.

There is a massive cash cow to be slaughtered if you can push Wandy in line for a title shot assuming Rampage still has the belt. "The guy who beat Rampage twice in Japan now wants to take his belt in America".

To do that though Wandy prolly needs 3 wins. Thats gota be down to him.

It's factual but he lost those to Cro Cop (while he was on top), Henderson (in a title match), and Liddell (arguably the most dominant LHW of this decade).

No Wanderlei shouldn't be cut if he loses to Jardine. That's ridiculous. As long as people want to see him fight, let him fight. It's his own mental state that should be getting the attention. Losing 4 in a row to anyone will take it's toll on you mentally.

On a different note, you post with such anger and emotion. I hope Wanderlei (and Tito and BJ) fight that way, destroy their opponents Saturday and make me 3-0 in my picks. When some of my favorite guys are all fighting on the same card, it makes me feel like a kid again.

I don't feel like cutting a person with 4 losses (if he happens to lose to Jardine) when he has 2 dominating wins over your champ is ever justified. Look at the fighters that he has lost to, the majority of the people that the fighters that were cut lost to were mediocre fighters for the most part (no I don't think Franklin is mediocre).

Dana's just doing his usual schtick trying to amp up a fight. You don't "cut" a guy like Wandy. He's only 31. Is ALREADY a legend, casual and hardcore fans know and love the guy. .. and you will NEVER see a boring Wanderlei fight. ..

If the UFC cuts Wandy after a loss they are FUCKING RETARDED!!!! Not to mention last time i checked the dude has lost one fight since returning to the UFC not 3. Also those other two loses are against freakin Hendo and fucking CroCop. Take ANY LHW the UFC has and match them up with CC, Hendo and Chuck and see how they do. Also the dude fought Hendo sick as a dog from what i remember...man this shit pisses me off...
