It is a stupid question and yeah i'm the one who asked it. that being said the only reason i did because several posts have pretty much been in favor of bisping getting a quick shot at a contender. i don't think he deserves a shot yet>>>>IMO

I'm with the majority on this one. Lot's of potential, but he's not there yet.

He is not a top contender yet but he could be in one fight if UFC wanted to play it that way. He would clearly own anyone in UFC lhw except Chuck, so after a quick can let's feed him Forrest. After that, Tito or Babalu. Chuck is next, followed by Chuck again to prove his dominance, then down to 185 to school the Franklin. He would still have 3 fights left on his contract, so he should defend his belts one more time each, then step up to HW to be the first three weight champ.
After all that he should give the bird to Dana and go to Pride. Snake first as a nice grudge match warm-up, then Shogun and Wand (maybe as a tag-team to make it more of a challenge and a huge ppv), and finally Mirko and Fedor.
Retirement, Knighthood, nobel prize for services to fighting science, and finally the unification of all major world religions.
The end.

what a beutiful story...brought a tear to my eye lol
the guy has alot of potential but can't even be considered in the top 10 yet because he hasn't fought at a UFN or a PPV yet

If he can get a few wins under his belt, then we can start to have a discussion. I think he has loads of talent but can he perform on the big stage...that's a whole nother subject.

I'm with most people on this forum and the above quote best sums it up.
He's got a LOT of talent and potential .. and I just see a "fighter" quality about him.
Now, can he do that in the Octogon, against a "good" fighter?
I hope so.
But currently Rashad and Forrest are the "hot" up-n-commers in LHW.
Maybe get Evan Tanner vs. Bisping going in 2007 ...or against Stephen Bonnar after he gets re-instated.
