Why does Chuck think he needs only one more win to get a title shot? First he loses his title, then gets beat by Jardine and then has a close fight with Silva. First off Jardine is next in line if he wins his next fight. You could make an argument for Machida too if he wins. I think time is running out on Chucky and he wants to get a title shot fast. Thats cool, as long as he doesn't leapfrog fighters who deserve it more. Plus a title shot doesn't make sense as long as Rampage is champ, who already owned Chuck twice.

if chuck's next fight is Shogun and he beats him, i think he deserves a title shot. If he can't fight Shogun, I'm sure the UFC will give him someone he can handle fairly easily, then set up a chuck vs winner of rampage/forrest, then give jardine a title shot at the winner of that fight if jardine ends up beating wanderlei.

basically, I think they would rather save the Chuck vs Jardine rematch for a title fight. they could promote the hell out of it
