UFC 84 Main Event: Penn or Sherk?

Who will be the champion of UFC 84 main event...Penn or Sherk? and Why?

Bj Penn. He's going to immediatly shoot and put Sherk on his back,and Sean Sherk on his back is a fish out of water,much like Steveson was against Penn. Aside from putting Sherk on his back,Bj's striking is better,his BJJ is WAY better,I think he's quicker,and probably has more heart then Sherk,and call me crazy but I think for this fight his cardios going to be just as good if not better then Sherks.

I really don't like Bj has no cardio argument. He looked incredible in his last 2 fights,and didn't gas in either,yet people still think he's gonna start sucking wind in the 2nd while Sherk tries to blanket him to death. I just don't think its gonna happen. This is probably the most dedicated Penn has ever been.

Bj via 2nd round RNC. He'll hold the choke longer like he did against Jens.

I certainly hope not...the last thing we need is a Babalu situation with one of the UFC's most marketable champions.

In any case, Penn takes this all day and all night. You pretty much covered every aspect, though I don't know if Penn will shoot so quickly. I think he'll be content to stand and bang it out with Sherk and utilize that insane takedown d of his.

BJ wins his fight where ever he decides to, his striking is much better then sherks and when sherk relizes that hes gonna try to put it on the ground, just to relize what matt hughs did, that penns takedown defense is the best in the business. id be suprised to se sherk make it to the third round

Anyone who says Bj is going to dominate is freaking crazy. I think Sherk is in the most danger on his feet. Bj has crazy power and could really catch Sherk. In most Bj's fights he tends to drop his hands in the 3 round or so. The first 2 rounds are going to probably go to Bj. I think Sherk has to just make it to the 3rd round and he will be okay. Sherk has great transitions and will keep Bj working and expanding alot of energy. Its kinda like Ali and the rope a dope.

I think by the 3rd round Bj will really start to get tired and Shawn can start out working him and holdind him on the ground. I know Bj is better at Ju-jitsu but Sherk is a short stalky guy who isnt easy to submit. He has also had almost 40 mma fights without being subed.

its closer then people think i bet its gonna come down to bj's heart and i really think bj's flexblity will make this fight more enteraining
