I'm as big an NFL fan as I am MMA and I follow them both pretty closely. Hamstring problems are very common in the NFL and it varies based on severity. I've seen NFL players pull a hamstring, not even tear it, and they aren't the same the whole 3 months of the season. Chuck tore his so his time table may take longer. I'm very surprised surgery isn't required. And being Chuck is older than alot of the younger guys who recuperate from a hamstring problem, and he tore it, it could be 6 months or more.

Uh Chuck's return date isn't a mystery. As soon as Shogun is ready, Chuck is ready.

I haven't seen the pics but from what I am reading in this thread it sounds like I underestimated the severity of the injury. In any event, I hope for the Chuck vs Shogun fight to happen in Dec or sometime early next year. I'd rather see both guys take the right amount of time off and really get back to 100% before they start training for their next fights.

I dont see Chuck fighting for awhile. With Chucks age you cant just assume his is going to heel really fast. I was thinking it would be to soon for him to fight in September when they announced the time table. I see Chuck waiting awhile and fighting Shogun towards the end of the year.

Damn, that tear looks bad. He must have torn it at the attachment judging from the bruising and hemorrhage. I'm too very surprised it did not require surgery.
