this is not to start a Sherk flame war.. BUT if he comes away from next saturday injury free regardless whether he wins or loses should he be on this card too since he trains up in MN and has strong ties there? granted it would be better for this scenario if he lost because Dana already said that Ken-Flo and Huerta get the next crack at the belt... but i feel Sherk should be part of the first event in MN.. just like GSP and other fellow canadians were part of the last one... just a thought

EDIT:
lol i forgot to comment on Lesnar vs Coleman... i pretty much agree with everyone when i first saw this i immediatly saw publicity stunt.. i mean Brock hits very hard.. he put Mir down seemingly very easily.. just imagine what he would to do old man river coleman...?
i agree they need a true main event.. but after that this card would be pretty wicked awesome.. #1 contenders match, a nice stunt, and a serious main event? that seems like a recipie for a good card.. just add a few up and comers or my boy Guida and id be as happy as a kid in a candy store

This seriously better not be the fucking main event...as legitimately excited as I am about seeing the fight, I just don't see how the UFC can justify a match between a newbie with a 1-1 record and a relative has-been.

And oh yeah, Lesnar by obliteration.

After the buyrate of the PPV that Lesnar made his debut on is why this is the main event. But I'm sure the Joe Silva will make the rest of us happy by having some good fights on the card. Give me 3 more Huerta/Florian level matches and I'm alright with it.

Lesnar TKO 1st Rd. via homicide

Too bad Nog and Mir will be coaching on TUF. And the reason Lesner is headlining is 1. He is fighting in his home town and 2. He puts asses in the seats and gets people to buy PPVs. That right there alone is more than enough reason to put him in the main event.

Mir doesn't even deserve a title shot.

I dont think so either but who else is there? AA hasn't signed. Do you see the UFC wanting to wait for the winner of Vera/Werdum and have Nog shelved that long?

You think maybe, just maybe this is the main event because none of the champions are going to be ready to fight/have someone to fight come 8/9? And if I can't get a champion, I'd think the next best bet would be probably the biggest draw your company has. Like it or not it does occasionally have to be about your bottom line, not just who "deserves" it
