right now all the UK shows run on free tv here, and the shows do run at a loss, but white keeps talking about getting a major network deal within 6 months, rather then produce new shows perhaps the plan is simply to show the other country's events live on the major network deal, with spike continuing fight nights?

Which UK shows have all been free because the only one I can remember being free was the Gonzaga-CroCop fight. The other one was on at 3pm in the afternoon on PPV and UFC 85 is on PPV.

I just doesn't make sense to me, nail down the North American market first.
Merchandise Merchandise Merchandise!!! You know how much money the UFC could be making.. The WWE wouldn't be making the money they are right now if it wasn't for Merchandise.
Take T-shirt sales the UFC should have a strangle hold on the MMA T-shirt market, but they don't, they have a partnership with Tapout, could you see WWE letting another company make million off of Stone Cold Steve Austin shirts? answer Hell No!!
Perfect example the last PPV in Montreal almost every fans was wearing an Affliction t-shirt.. to a UFC event something wrong there!!!
If you go to a WWE RAW show everyone wearing a wrestling shirt there, they are wearing a WWE shirt.
I am sorry but Australia WTF!! Who has ever said oh yeah Australia thats a market we should go to.
Dana has no plans on going to Brazilian he said so himself, cause of what I know, there seems to be some interest in Brazil and heard there are a couple of fighters from there.
I am sure it wouldn't do good at all.

I don't understand the Philippines and Australia. Germany might work in getting that area solidified but the Philippines and Australia? Those 3 countries combined have only a few decent fighters if that, the biggest being Vera and Sinosec. I think the reason why Canada was a success was they had a ton of fighters from there. I think they should work on the Asia, and Brazil more then any of those other countries, they could easily do USA vs. Japan, China, Brazil ect.
Any one know about the economics in Brazil that made White so recently interested?

Each UFC show attempts to deliver some kick-ass cards, but they don't try to break the bank and consequently bury themselves with the super-show that Affliction is putting together. I guess we'll see what happens.

Do you remember a few months ago when the UFC had their credit rating reduced because they were stretching themselves too thin? It was in part because of the England UFC.
How an org can go on a massive cutting spree then brag about expanding is beyond me.
Also, UFC isn't going to do anything in Japan anytime soon. They couldn't even put a pride show on and that was a Japan staple. Now the ex pride guys sold a money pit to dana, then built what is becoming a very successful 'DREAM".
