Actually, I dont think Affliction is going to be an org that has constant shows like a UFC if you will.... If anything Affliction is just doing this for publicity to sell their merchandise. Those Affliction shirts cost like 40-50 (and even up to 100-150) bucks for a T shirt that costs about 20 cents to make. After this event, If it helps sell an additional 50,000 T shirts. lol, they'll be fine.
I have a feeling this event will get atleast 50 to 100k in PPV buys. Sure it's nothing compared to the UFC, but it's atleast a few million in the bank. I also think LIVE GATE sales will do better than expected. I think Affliction is very smart for hosting this event in Anaheim. Anaheim is in Orange County which has many many MMA fans. I think it's a perfect location to host the event. It's also much cheaper to host it there, than lets say the MGM grand arena. Let's not forget merchandise sales. All in all I dont think they'd be losing that much.
