Regardless of what guys are feeling and what the truth is all I can say is that if Tito leaves I'll miss him. All Tito Ortiz fights are events and it'll be a shame that he'll take that hype and energy with and away from the UFC.

I wish Tito luck, he was one of the sports first superstars and arguably the biggest and most identifiable...
But where the sport is at currently... I think the question is really, if Tito loses this fight is he still relevant? Or is he reminiscent?...
I really haven't seen where Tito's skill have evolved, improved, or expanded over the years, he can't viably challenge for the title in the UFC any longer, and he seems to be fascinated by greener pastures outside of fighting...
Like I said, why hold it against him? He'll always have something say about the sport, about fighters, and the UFC... but I think that's the best he's been able to do over the years at keeping himself topical...

Yea, you're probably right. Guy Mezger, Vladimir Matushenko, and Wanderlei Silva are nobodies who didn't deserve to be fighting in the UFC. Tito was only champ for 3 years, was only the biggest attraction the UFC had seen since Royce Gracie, fuck that. He isn't a draw at all. I'm glad you opened by eyes.

Guy Mezger doesn't have good wrestling, Vladimir Matyushenko had a very difficult time making the weight against tito and was drained going into the fight, and Wanderlei Silva was green and his skillset then isnt even comparible to his skillset now, whereas tito's skill set now isnt much more than his skill set was in 2000 when he fought Wanderlei.
Tito was also the biggest attraction the UFC had seen since Royce Gracie back when the UFC was on the brink of disappearance. More people today can tell you who Chuck Liddell is than they could Tito Ortiz, i guarantee you that. God knows I love tito. He's my favorite fighter, but my point is your argument that I have quoted above is crap because that was SO long ago and because of the circumstances surrounding each of the fights

We (me and Renny) weren't talking about Tito as in right now. We were talking about the Tito-Chuck feud that turned Chuck into a larger than life superstar. I was debating the guy about when it was in UFC history that Chuck went from a solid fighter to a solid fighter and a household name. The Tito-Chuck feud made them both tons of money and it was Chuck's first big exposure and when you combine the dynamite in his hands and Tito's persona and marketability, you get this HUGE WHITE HOT FEUD that turned Chuck into a household name.

exactly it takes 2 people to sell a fight....but Tito is going about it as if he's the only reason the pay per view buy rate was successful....and after his fight with chuck the first time, he hasnt stepped his game up...all of his fight besides the wins over a washed up Shamrock has been decisions and a draw....I have no problem with him wanting fighters to get paid more and all but i think he's going about it the wrong way...
