Also, pound-for-pound, Pits can be really strong, but P-4-P doesn't mean much. A Dogue De Bordeaux could launch a Pit across the room, even if the Pit was pound-for-pound stronger. See where that comparison is lacking?

the american pitbull terrier is recognized by ukc. akc recognizes them as american staffordshire terriers. and they do have standards.
