What is it with people dogging guys who are now successful but started on the Ultimate Fighter. Isn't the point of the Ultimate Fighter to make a star. Just because they got their big break on TUF doesn't mean they would have been bums otherwise. It's just a faster way to get recognized. Some of the best guys in the UFC right now and even elsewhere started on TUF. Rashad Evans, undefeated, Forrest Griffin, getting a title shot, Scott Smith, fighting in the co-main event on the first nationally televised network tv MMA event, Diego, Koscheck, Leben, Quarry, Danzig, the list goes on and on. Don't you think if TUF was around 5-10 years ago, guys like Liddell, Silva, Ortiz, Couture who were unheard of at the time would have jumped all over the chance to be on a show like that.

You guys can say what you want about Shonie's personality, but the man has a few legitimate complaints, i.e., How come he was 3-0 and Carlos Newton (1-2) got the title shot?

Sure he has a quirky style and outspoken personality, but the man is speaking his mind about some things that he felt were wrong about the UFC. So what? If nobody brings these things to light, they don't get addressed.

Tito Ortiz WAS at the top but now the sport has evolved to make him almost inadequate to compete. Yes Tito is a warrior and props to him for even fighting for a living but these days i don't think he has knock out power and or a submission game and i don't think GnP is going to work for him with all the new fighters either being really good at stand up or really good at submissions. Royce is a good example, a great competitor and true revolutionary in MMA but in todays Octagon he go owned by Hughes who intern has been owned by BJ and GSP.

As for Shoni he has nothing like the history Tito has and imo is only known for 3 things:

1. Spinning backfist
2. Strange personality showcased on tuff like throwing water bottles in the pool and painting everything o.O
3. Good rear naked choke defense.

In the end he isn't as good as so many mma fighters so he lost his job in the top mma franchise.

Matt Hughes was a former champ, Rich was a former champ who had easy fights early on but has proven himself last 3 fights and Sylvia who was only getting pumped because the HW division was weak at the time and once it got better they let him go too.

There are circles of power that control us all with false flags ops they are called the CFR, Bilderberg group, Tri lateral commission, Carlyle Group, or the mother term the New World Order. So just don't go there with MMA it was good business sense to let go of Starnes, din thomas, lutter and certainly Shoni.

Tim Sylvia was not let go by the UFC. He asked to be released because he had one fight left on his contract and coming off a loss, that one fight would mean nothing. He asked for his release and was granted it. You can't lump him in there with Starnes, Lutter and the like.

everyone knows there is an inner circle..
ufc has favorite fighters of course, they want a big name and someone everyone will love to hold the title. cuz they think they can market them more and make more money out of them. like the other man said matt, franklin and chuck as champ.
i bet you any money in the world that they hated when anderson humiliated franklin, when gsp beat matt and big nog shocked out timmy. why? cuz anderson doesnt speak english and is not american, nog is not american, gsp is canadian. i know might sound racist but everyone knows its true. i'm brazilian and i suffer from racism many times.
and matt hughes being famous for being a nice farm boy every american loves that. now gsp comes and beats matt. and franklin mr good boy gets destroyed by anderson, a guy that cant speak english. rampage just came out of pride and ko's chuck their golden boy.
wtf is up with not giving the champ his own locker room? come on that is just fucked up.

I'm not saying they're not studs or anything, but they get whatever they want. Meanwhile, the guys on the outs, Serra, Tito, Karo, etc. eat shit at every turn and miss out on some pretty good opportunities that are afforded to those in the circle.

I do not think Serra is on the outs. If he gets destroyed by Hughes in the fall, well... shit he might be on the outs. Unless he cuts to 155.

There's no such thing as an inner circle Shonie, you just haven't beaten a decent opponent in years now.
