The fact that he was told (by Dana I suppose) that he couldn't fight in the WEC b/c of his TUF stint is pretty messed up. Why would Zuffa have a problem with giving him an opportunity there, especially since they sent Jens to the promotion? That's some serious hypocrisy... unless they just think Shonie's on the last legs of his career.

SC: Man, I knew that was going to happen. Matt Serra knew that was going to happen because when they walked out to face off and Georges postured up at him, Matt Serra flinched. When he did that, he broke mentally right then. I said, "this fight is over."

That's classic.

There is an inner circle within that organization. If you don't know it, fans out there around the world wake the fuck up! I mean really.

Yeah, it's called "the guys who win club." You can't come out to fight in a speedo or thong and get your ass handed to you and expect to be a member. Could you picture Chuck fighting Randy in a thong.

And he would do it all in his trusty banana hammock!

I have never agreed more with a post than this one right here...
Shonie is like Ironman without the need for a mechanical suit... As an ambassador to all nations, his ability to bring people together while discovering global conspiracies that undermine our ability to get our swerve on would enable us to move forward into a collective future of prosperity and justice for all...

Shonie is the man. A tough veteran thats been around for a over decade, and is probably gonna be around for years to come.
It's a shame he fights at such small shows..why havent places like Elite or HD tryed hiring the guy? He's entertaining as hell,a solid mid-tier name that will draw in a few fans, and he's won 4 out of his last 5 fights(his only loss coming from injury)

Shonie needs to get over himself, hes a C level fighter at the best, and i agree there is an inner circle at the UFC, but those are the guys that paid there dues when the company was in trouble, theyve all been collectivley the face of the UFC at one point or another and done there best when the company needed help, i agree thats not always fair, but Danas just showing his appreciation, half of the members on the forum call him an ass for having the inner circle, the other half would call him a bastard for not appreciating all these guys did for him....

I'm not saying they're not studs or anything, but they get whatever they want. Meanwhile, the guys on the outs, Serra, Tito, Karo, etc. eat shit at every turn and miss out on some pretty good opportunities that are afforded to those in the circle.

You know why Hughes, Liddell, and Franklin get fights what they want? BECAUSE THEY DONT BITCH LIKE RANDY COUTURE, WERE WORTHY CHAMPS, AND FINISH FIGHTS! I don't know why you say Serra ate shit, because he got a chance to become champ 1 time and couldn't defend it, no big deal. As for Tito and Karo....Tito can't even take out a TUF fighter, Karo had injury during the time he had chance for the title and then got knocked the fuck out last fight. The only people that talk shit on the UFC are fighters that don't got it no more. Train and catch up with the new generation of fighters and get with the program. DON'T HATE !
