My result period is same time frame as my UFC and PRIDE. Brave 9
10/12/04 to Present, which for Pancrase was Shining Tour 3 on
4/26/08.
For those of you who have yet to witness a Pancrase event, this may not be very exciting for you. Pancrase has several different types of match rules. There are Standard Rules, Catch Wrestling, Gate Rules, and the Neo-Blood Tournament Rules. I have only seen about 10-15 Pancrase events myself, so I'm not a pancrase guru or anything, but the results are official.
Quote:

PANCRASE categorizes the two(2) different time limits of official matches as follows; Title matches shall always be three(3) rounds of five(5) minutes each. Other matches shall be either two(2) rounds of five(5) minutes each or three(3) rounds of five(5) minutes each. Round break shall be one(1) minute each. This will not apply to special matches which are arranged by PANCRASE for specific reasons.

A couple things to note about special rules:
Quote:
'CATCH WRESTLING' RULES
A. Match time limit shall be either one(1) or two(2) rounds of five(5) minutes and there shall be no extra rounds.
B. There shall be no weight classes.
C. Competitors do not wear open finger gloves and shin pads.
D. Strikes of any kind are prohibited.
'PANCRASE GATE' RULES
A. Match time limit shall be two(2) rounds of five(5) minutes only.
B. There shall be no judge decision. In case the match has gone to a full time limit, a Draw shall be declared.
C. Competitors shall wear shin pads and knee pads which PANCRASE approves.
D. Heel hooks are prohibited.
'NEO BLOOD TOURNAMENT' RULES
A. Match time limit shall be one (1) round of five(5) minutes with extension match which shall be one more round of 3 minutes .
B. In case the match has gone to a full time limit, an extension of one more round shall be held. There shall be judge decision after the extension round.

Since the tournament rounds are different I did 2 types of final results. One with the tournaments involved and one without them. The tournaments are 3 rounds each year. Eliminations, Semifinals, and Finals.
OK now for the results:
Quote:
Without tournament: 298 total fights since Oct 04
41 KO's = 14% of all fights ending in Knock out
49 TKO = 16%
85 UD = 29%
24 Split/Majority Decision = 8%
31 Draws = 10%
16 Sub by Arm Lock = 5%
15 Sub by Leg Lock = 5%
32 Sub by Choke = 11%
4 Sub by other means not classified by Arm, Leg, or Choke = 1%
1 Doctor Stoppage
98 Fights ended in the first round = 33% of all fights.
123 Fights ended in the second = 41%
and 77 fights managed a third round = 26%
meaning that 74% of all Pancrase fights non tournament last under or equal to 10 minutes.

168 Fights ended in the second = 45%
and 81 fights managed a third round = 22%
meaning that 78% of all Pancrase fights inculding tournament last under or equal to 10 minutes.

If the results seem kinda funny to you its because the # of rounds and types of rules are different as I stated before, but the results still aid my paper. Thanks for all the cool feedback everyone. If you have any questions just let me know.
