Matt Hughes "I was rooting for Serra"
GSP’s Win - Matt-hughes.com

Well both fights went like I thought they would. Rich was in much better shape and his striking and takedown defense made him the victor. Glad my buddy was able to pull out a victory.
GSP had a good game plan to take Matt Serra down and wear him out. I found myself rooting for Serra at the end of the second round, I wanted him to make it to the third round. I thought if it would get to the third round GSP would decide to stand up with him and possibly knock him out. I just wanted Matt to get beat on for five rounds, not just two; but I knew the ref was about ready to stop it. The UFC said that if Serra loses I get him, but I don’t know when that will be. I’m going to guess six to eight months, so I’ve found myself watching my diet and exercising more.
Had a bit of excitment here on Friday morning, I got woke up at around 4:37 AM to an earthquake. I was quite confused. I ran out of the bedroom, checked on the kids, they were still sleeping, then went to the front of the house and looked around. The flag we have in the front yard showed there was no wind, and I thought if it was an earthquake some of the neighbor’s lights would come on. After five minutes of looking around, I went back to bed seeing no other lights. When I got to bed, I heard birds chirping and then thought that it probably was an earthquake after all, as birds usually don’t chirp at 4:44 AM. First time I’ve ever been in an earthquake, kind of exciting.
We’re going to post a video here tomorrow of me teaching the intro class at the gym, so stay tuned for that. -matt

HAHAHAHAHAHAH that is funny right there... I cannot wait to see HUGHES/serra sometime this year... I think it will be another bad beating for Serra, then hopefuly we don't see him again!

I think it will take that long for Serra's face to be back to normal, and that man has got to have some seriously hurt ribs... I mean damn GSP tenderized those ribs so good he shoulda put some BBQ sauce on them!

Yeah, WTF? Hughes wrote it like it was obvious. Did Serra suffer an injury during the fight?

Serra suffered no Injuries that I know of.
He said the Knees didn't even hurt.
Although I'm sure he will be sore as hell for 2 or so weeks, I don't see what the hold up would be.

I'd...Actually give Hughes a really, really good shot at beating Serra. And I fucking hate Hughes - So I don't want to hear anything about my not being objective.
...Except on Gonzaga - FEDORFEARSGONZOX3.

Serra did say he was going to take his wife on vacation. Give him a break. He fought like one time in a year. That's alot. And he has a bad back. Personally, Serra better string these fights as far apart as he can so he can get some spot light for as long as he can and people will talk about him as long as they can because once he loses to Hughes, he will fade BACK in to obscurity to where he was before. I heard him and Pete Sell were going to be neighbors. They are building caves side by side on Long Island and Sell figured out how to use a lighter. (He thought he invented fire with it, didn't know it came with fire already in it.)

Serra's bandwagon collapsed.
