I like Serra but I don't think he stands a chance with against Hughes.

if serra looses this fight i think he should drop back to lw, where he might actually win a couple fights.

I heard him and Pete Sell were going to be neighbors. They are building caves side by side on Long Island and Sell figured out how to use a lighter. (He thought he invented fire with it, didn't know it came with fire already in it.)

You got that right. Hughes is going to beat him like a drum. The only way he is going to touch gold again is if he gets a job shining belt buckles on the corner somewhere.

The title is a bit misleading. Before I read the article I figured Matt was hoping Serra would win, so he'd have a better shot at regaining the belt. But he was rooting for Serra to rebound so he could just take more punishment.
I'm going to be the first to come out and say it:
Matt Serra threw that fight. He could have taken GSP at any point, but he chose not to.
Why?
Because he wants to fight Hughes.
He knew if he won, he's locked into fighting Fitch, and he wants to beat Hughes sooner, rather than later. He knows once he beats Hughes like an unhousetrained puppy, that he can regain the title whenever he wants, but he wants the opportunity to lay a smack on Hughes.
I'm telling you...this is truth.

edit: That's also not his real voice/accent. It's like Madonna and Britney Spears...he chooses to talk that way because it makes him sound cool.

Hello
Why Is Every One Picking On Serra? He Lost His Title In His 1st Title Defense Just Like Gsp, I Also Believe Gsp Was Knocked Out By Serra By "21 Lucky Punches" Serra Wasnt Knocked Out, But He Was Beaten .........so Wtf? Theres Not One Of You On This Site That Could Ever Do What Any Of These Fighters Can Do, But You Talk All The Tuff Guy Talk. If Serra Would Have Won Most Of You All Would Be All On His Nuts Riding The Band Wagon As Far As It Would Take You. Still A Serra Fan ,and A Gsp Fan ,dont Like Hughes !but I Do Give Them All Respect I Could Not Do What They Do . You All Are A Joke Leave The D&d Alone And Go Get A Real Life Or Maybe A Job

At least Serra went to fight, unlike Hughes who was so scared in the third GSP fight he didnīt even try. I didnīt loose any respect for Serra and still like him more than Hughes or GSP.

edit: Was that really a dungeons and dragons reference in the last line? If there was, this post goes in my all-time top 10 first post list. Outstanding!

i've been kicked in the ribs when i was down like serra was and let me tell you, THAT SHIT HURTS. Maybe not immediately because you're caught up in the moment, but im sure every time he takes a breath, a piss, laughs, coughs, sneezes, ANYTHING, his ribs are killing him. When I got kicked, I thought every one of my fucking ribs on my right side were broken...turns out it was just a couple bruised ribs. I'm sure that one kick to the ribs from a pussyfied sucker puncher aint shit compared to repeated knees to the ribs from GSP.
Serra is a tough guy, but i guarantee you his ribs are giving him some trouble right now

I would honestly be surprised if Serra has no broken ribs. I would be fucking amazed, I mean those shots looked bad.
