He didn't hurt him that bad. The last ten seconds Cung unleashed a hellstorm of punishment that lead to Frank not being able to continue. Frank thought that he hurt him more than he actually did and ended up getting the worse of that exchange.

A striker like Le doesn't take that many shots to the face backing up unless they aren't fighting unconsciousness. He was able to regain enough to start trading in the last 10 seconds, but he was clearly rocked by that punch.

I agree with both of you. I think that Cung dominated pretty much the entire fight, with only a few exceptions. Frank had him by the back of the head and was landing some good shots (I think at the end of round 1) and towards the end of rd 3 I too thought Frank rocked him pretty bad, but Cung turned it around and stopped his comeback attempt.

I absolutely hate both Shamrocks, but will admit that Frank had me worried with a few of those shots he hit Cung Le with.

You could see his right arm was getting more and more useless from getting kicked as the fight went on.

In a rematch I bet Frank goes for the take down in round 1.

I didn't think this fight was going to be as exciting as it was!!! Cungs kicks looked great but every time he through them he kept his hands to low!! Fighting a guy like anderson would really exploit that. He needs to train with his hands much much higher!!

I am watching the replay of Le vs. Shamrock, and Frank says he has never been KOed in his career.

Yet, I remember in Pancrase he was headkick KOed all the way out of the ring... am I wrong?

I remember watching it a while ago, and also, I remember seeing it on ImaginAsianTV (They play Pancrase matches all the time, hosted by Barnett too. Just in case anyone was wondering) like 2 months ago.

I just want to get my facts straight..

Edit Add: Lol, also oddly enough, Quadros called Frank Shamrock breaking his hand (arm) if he kept blocking too many roundhouse kicks..

Yuki Kondo I believe, KO'd him with a kick, Frank must have forgotten about that one

Anyway he still has good chin, he took some hard shots from Le and didn't go down. Baroni tagged him a couple of times too.
